While they were in a stalemate, the pursuers arrived and surrounded them.
Bei Yutang saw Ans among the pursuers.
When I met his eyes, I could no longer see the warmth of the past in his eyes, only disgust.
"Yan Meng, you actually dared to take her away. Aren't you afraid that God will punish you?" The person who spoke was Sanu, the new chief of the Sanshi tribe.
Yan Meng only said two words, "Don't be afraid."
Sanu ordered, "Capture the tribe's defector Yan Meng and the demon daughter and sacrifice them to the heavens."
More than twenty people transformed into wild beasts and pounced on Yan Meng. Yan Meng placed Bei Yutang behind him, using his body to block all attacks for her. He was covered in more and more blood, and his golden hair was dyed red.
That huge body was already staggering, but when he looked behind him and saw the female he wanted to protect, he held on and did not let himself fall.
Even if he was powerful, how could he withstand the siege of more than 20 people? His huge body fell down with a loud bang.
Bei Yutang rushed forward, but before he could touch him, he was held down by two orcs.
The dying Yan Meng and she were brought back to the Sanshi tribe.
The next day, Bei Yutang was put on a pile of firewood by the orcs.
Beside her, there was a rack with Yan Meng tied up on it. He had transformed into a human form, with his hands and feet bound.
After chanting the incantation and communicating with the heavens, the wizard said to the tribesmen below, "I have communicated with the gods, and they tell us that only by draining her filthy blood and burning her body in flames can this disaster be quelled. As for Yan Meng, he has been bewitched by her and has lost his mind. Only by crucifying him can his soul be freed from the clutches of that demonic woman."
As the wizard finished speaking, everyone knelt down and prayed to God.
After the prayers were over, the two orcs walked over to Yan Meng and used the bone nails to pierce his palms, eyes, and various parts of his body. The dying Yan Meng was awakened by the excruciating pain of the bones.
His first reaction was not to care about what kind of punishment his body was suffering, but to look at Bei Yutang. When he saw the tribesmen cutting the tendons of her hands and legs with bone knives, her whole body was struggling violently and she let out bursts of roars.
Bei Yutang looked at him, her eyes already filled with tears.
She was the one who got him into trouble.
The two looked at each other.
Bei Yutang clearly felt that he was getting closer and closer to death, and clearly felt the blood flowing out of his body rapidly.
The witch noticed that some of her people looked reluctant. She looked up at the sky and suddenly said to everyone, "The time has come. Let's begin the burning. Only with the raging fire can we burn away the filth and bad luck she has brought."
"Burn her." Someone in the tribe shouted, and soon everyone followed suit.
"Burn her! Burn her!
Bei Yutang looked at the man holding the torch, staring at him intently.
Ans felt guilty when he saw her look, so he turned his head away and threw the torch in his hand onto the dry wood. A raging fire instantly ignited, and the flames soon spread to her feet, causing a burning pain in her feet.
The intense pain made her scream miserably.
She could even smell the smell of her own skin burning.
Bei Yutang looked at the tribesmen below the stage who kept shouting "Burn her to death" and felt a surge of resentment in her heart.
