Chapter 1370: Strategies for the Villain BOSS 41

Bei Yutang paused and coughed lightly to cover up the truth that he had accidentally revealed.

After two seconds of silence, someone, as if afraid he'd misunderstood, said, "I didn't specifically ask you to choose a comfortable bed. Don't be so self-indulgent. Do you hear me?"

Her voice suddenly rose in the last sentence.

Beichen's movement to sit down slowed down slightly and he couldn't help but look at her.

Her face clearly showed the words "there is something fishy going on here", but she herself was unaware of it.

Beichen responded softly, "Yeah."

Bei Yutang saw him leaning against the head of the bed with his eyes slightly closed, so she stopped talking.

The two of them closed their eyes quietly and rested. The sunlight from outside the window shone in, making the whole room warm.

After a long while, Bei Yutang whispered, "Beichen, you are mine. Whether in school or outside, I will protect you."

Beichen did not respond.

Bei Yutang knew that he was not asleep, but she asked, "Hey, hey, are you asleep?"

Beichen's eyes were still closed.

Bei Yutang muttered, "No way, he fell asleep so quickly."

Beichen felt someone's gaze on him, but he chose to ignore it. At this moment, he didn't want to think about anything, didn't want to do anything, just wanted to stay quiet.

However, someone's voice came into his ears intermittently.

"I thought you wouldn't be able to sleep today, but I didn't expect you to fall asleep so easily. But it's good that you fell asleep." Bei Yutang said to himself.

"I'm sorry." Bei Yutang suddenly said in a serious tone.

His eyelids twitched slightly.

"I really didn't expect your parents to treat you this way. I thought parents loved their children and would never give up on you."

"Honestly, your parents are terrible. You're their son, how could they just give up on you? Your father is obviously violent and not a good person."

"And your mother, although she seems to love you, she actually doesn't love you at all."

When Bei Yutang said this, she deliberately glanced at Beichen, watching the changes in his facial expression, and sure enough, she saw the slight tremor in his brows.

Bei Yutang smiled secretly in her heart. It would be best if he pretended to be asleep. She could take advantage of her so-called soliloquy to tell him something and give him a shot of prevention.

"If your mother truly cared about you, she wouldn't have signed her name. It seems like she was forced by your father, but if she cared about your life or death, she wouldn't have signed her name. Ultimately, she doesn't love you enough."

Beichen wanted to say no, wanted to tell her that his mother loved him and cared about him, but the scene from an hour ago kept appearing in his mind.

He ultimately chose to say nothing because he couldn't find any reason to refute it.

Bei Yutang continued, "But it doesn't matter. They don't want you anymore, but I'll protect you. I won't give up on you, I won't abandon you. I always keep my word, and you should feel honored, understand?"

Bei Yutang kept talking a lot, but Beichen remained the same.

He was a quiet person, hated noisy environments, and even more hated people who chattered non-stop. But today he didn't feel annoyed at all. He listened to her chattering quietly, and even became a little fascinated by the light and pleasant voice.
