"Is anyone going to the library?" Bei Yutang asked.
"No." Ah Hua whispered, "Mr. Feng went to the shooting range, Miss Li and Miss Gongsun went to the swimming pool, and Mr. Zhang went to the gym."
"Has Yan Jin not gone anywhere?"
"Yes. Mr. Yan and Mr. Huang are resting in the house."
After they finished talking, the two of them didn't talk anymore. For a while, the only sound in the long corridor was the clattering of footsteps. The surroundings were unusually quiet, so quiet that it seemed as if the only sound in the world was the faint sound of footsteps.
When the two stood in front of a huge door, they saw Ah Hua take the key from her waist and open the door of the library.
"Has this door always been locked?" Bei Yutang asked.
"Yes." Ah Hua opened the door. The seemingly heavy door was pushed open easily by her.
"Miss Bei, you can read as much as you want here. But you can't take the books out of this library." Ah Hua said, and then, as if worried, she reiterated, "Remember, you can't take the books out of the library."
"Why can't we take it out? As long as we don't take it out of the castle, it's fine." Bei Yutang asked casually.
Ah Hua explained, "This is the master's rule."
"Okay, I understand."
After Ah Hua left, Bei Yutang looked at the library in front of him and felt a sense of awe. The spiral bookshelves, layer upon layer, seemed to stretch as far as the eye could see.
There are so many books here that it feels like you can never finish reading them all in your lifetime.
Bei Yutang began searching through the categories on the bookshelves, finally spotting Criminal Psychology on one shelf. She took a book from it and began flipping through it. Time slipped by, and the vast library became unusually quiet, as if the entire world had fallen asleep.
Suddenly, a cool breeze blew, causing Bei Yutang to subconsciously close her arms. However, when her hand touched her arm, her body stiffened slightly and her whole body tensed up.
She suddenly raised her head and swept her sharp eyes across the huge library. She saw a gap in the window not far away, and the cold wind was blowing in from there.
Bei Yutang walked forward, closed the window, sat back on the sofa, and continued reading. He flipped through one book after another, and the crisp sound of paper turning could be heard in the huge library.
Bei Yutang was very excited when she saw the rows of medical books on the bookshelf. If conditions allowed, she would definitely read all of them.
When the night faded and dawn came, Bei Yutang finally put down the book in his hand, stood up and stretched, pinching his stiff arms and shoulders with his little hands.
Bei Yutang looked up at the clock hanging on the wall in the library. It was already 6:10 in the morning.
She stood up and put the books she had read last night back to their original places.
Bei Yutang left the library. As soon as she walked out, the heavy door behind her closed automatically, and the lights in the corridor seemed to sense human presence and lit up instantly.
She returned to her room, washed up, and then went downstairs.
When I went downstairs, I saw Yan Jin and Dr. Zhang drinking morning tea in the front hall.
"Good morning." Bei Yutang greeted the two of them.
"Miss Bei, you get up so early too." Yan Jin said with a smile.
Doctor Zhang noticed that her eyes were slightly red, "Didn't you get enough rest last night?"
