All the coffins in the vast hall had vanished, leaving only one coffin perched high in the center, still motionless. Everyone in the hall quietly awaited the arrival of their king.
One day, two days, three days... half a month passed, and there was still no movement from the coffin.
"The master shouldn't wake up so soon." Someone said.
They thought that Duke Simon would wake up soon after them, but there has been no movement at all until now.
"How about this, send a few people outside to see if the territory is intact?" Lance said.
"Lance, you are worrying too much. Who dares to be so presumptuous in the Duke's territory? During the time we were sleeping, no one woke us up, so I guess nothing big happened." Norman said casually.
"It's time to eat. I'll ask the people downstairs to send some blood cows over. You guys come with me and see what the situation is outside." Lance ignored Norman and gave the orders.
Lance had always handled all sorts of matters within the territory for the Duke, and held a high prestige within the territory. Now that he had spoken, the people below him immediately took action.
After the two second-generation vampires came out of the dark palace below, they rushed out directly. After they got out, they found something unusual.
"Who are you?" The low-level vampires guarding outside were surprised and delighted when they suddenly saw the two of them.
"Elder." The guard knelt and saluted.
"Is everything alright out there?" one of them asked.
They thought they would hear a stereotyped answer, but they saw that the two men seemed to be hesitant to speak.
The Eighteenth Elder frowned, "What happened? Did some ignorant person come and cause trouble in our territory?"
These two were vampires from three thousand years ago, vampires who had experienced the glory of the vampire clan. But now they have failed to defend their territory, and instead allowed a group of blood cows to rule the entire world, which makes the vampires who once stayed outside feel ashamed.
"Speak." The seventeenth elder shouted coldly.
The two fourth-generation vampires told them one by one about the rapid rise of the human race after they fell asleep.
After hearing their words, Elder Eighteen and Elder Seventeen found it unbelievable even though Elder Eighteen was as calm as a mountain.
"You didn't lie to us?"
"How dare I deceive you. Two elders, if you don't believe me, go outside and take a look." As the saying goes, no matter how much you say, it is better for others to see it for themselves.
The Eighteenth and Seventeenth Elders naturally wouldn't simply believe his one-sided story. They left the Dark Castle and entered human society in the blink of an eye. Looking at the nutritious blood cattle, they couldn't wait to take them back.
After suppressing this terrifying thought, Elders Eighteen and Seventeen had to believe it even if they didn't want to.
The seventeenth elder was furious on the spot. They, a noble vampire clan, had actually fallen to such a state.
They are vampires, not street rats.
What a shit Hunter's Guild, they are bound to overthrow it.
The Seventeenth Elder was about to kill when the Eighteenth Elder stopped him. "The Master hasn't woken up yet, so we have to be careful. Once he wakes up, everything will return to normal."
"Let's go back." The Eighteenth Elder forcibly pulled the Seventeenth Elder away.
When they returned to the palace again, only a few people looked at them sideways, while the rest pretended not to know.
"How?" Lance asked.
