On the way back, I rode the horse slowly but leisurely.
Suddenly, Bei Yutang's stomach growled, and in response, Xiao Yan's stomach also growled.
Bei Yutang chuckled softly, "We're preparing for a duet."
Xiao Yan pulled the reins and the horse stopped. He dismounted and held out his hand to her. Bei Yutang was startled, then placed her hand in his palm and let him help her dismount.
"Shouldn't we go back quickly?" Bei Yutang couldn't help but ask.
"No hurry, fill your stomach first."
"Here?" Bei Yutang looked at the mountains and fields and looked at him in surprise.

Bei Yutang reminded him seriously, but his eyes were full of smiles, "Xiao Yan, you are the emperor now. If people knew that the emperor of the Southern Kingdom stole sweet potatoes, wouldn't they be shocked?"
Xiao Yan replied without thinking: "No."
"Why?"
"Because they won't believe it at all." Xiao Yan replied truthfully.
Embarrassed, Bei Yutang was speechless. He was absolutely right!
The sound of "gurgling" came out of her stomach again. Well, since she had already done it, Bei Yutang didn't hesitate any longer and simply rolled up her sleeves to join the ranks of stealing sweet potatoes.
It is early autumn now. Although it is not yet the time to harvest sweet potatoes, they are basically ripe now.
After digging about ten, the two men stopped.
Xiao Yan put a silver ingot into the pit they dug and covered it with a thin layer of soil so that they would not be able to find it.
The two of them built a fire at the edge of the field and roasted the sweet potatoes in it. As they sat around the fire, Bei Yutang listened to him recount all sorts of strange stories. Her deep voice, like the mellow taste of fine wine, captivated her unconsciously.
When the aroma of sweet potatoes wafted from the fire, Xiao Yan stopped and Bei Yutang also woke up.
Xiao Yan picked out the roasted sweet potato from the fire, and without caring about the heat, he peeled off the outer layer of skin, leaving a little bit underneath, picked the sweet potato leaves and carefully wrapped the bottom, and then handed it to her.
"Be careful, it's hot."
Bei Yutang looked at his thoughtful actions and felt a warm current in her heart, and her chest felt sweet.
Why, he is not from her world.
How nice it would be if he were in their world.
Unfortunately, there are no ifs in the world. Bei Yutang greedily enjoyed this time, as if it was stolen from her.
