The steward came forward with a lantern and poked the man with a stick, but the man did not move or make a sound.
Bei Yutang smelled a bloody smell, which was coming from that man's body.
"There's blood."
Suddenly, someone shouted in horror.
Everyone looked at the floor. Due to the dim candlelight and the rain outside, rain mixed with blood flowed in front of them.
The steward waved to several sailors to go over and check. When they turned the man over, the sailors were so scared that they fell to the ground and kept backing away.
