Gu Pianran looked at him with emotion, "Fanzhi, you are really my good brother."
When he heard the word "brother", a dark light flashed across Gu Fanzhi's eyes, but her intimate tone made him feel a lot more comfortable.
"If you encounter something like this in the future, don't endure it." Gu Fanzhi took out a stack of banknotes from his sleeve, "Take this money first. If it's not enough, I'll find another way."
Gu Pianran looked at the thick stack of banknotes and quickly pushed them back. "I can't take this money. You've already helped me, how can I take more money from you?"
"You're being too polite." Gu Fanzhi pushed back, "I'm not giving you this money for nothing. When you get through this difficult time, just pay me back."
This seemed to relieve her worries.
Gu Pianran reluctantly accepted the money, "Thank you."
"Why should this happen between us?"
Gu Fanzhi's eyes became softer as he looked at her.
That was what he liked most about her.
Many people approached him because of his identity, and they had kept their identities secret from each other since they met. Even after she learned his identity, she did not fawn over him, but instead gradually distanced herself from him.
It was like when something happened and she could have let him take action, but she didn't say anything.
He could see that she didn't want to use his status to act, and never thought of gaining any benefits from his status. Her sincerity towards him was what touched him the most and what he cherished the most.
She didn't say anything, but he couldn't pretend he knew nothing.
Gu Pianran and Gu Fanzhi did not separate until the afternoon when they boated on the lake. Before they separated, the Fourth Prince reluctantly sent her to the gate of the Gu Mansion.
Tang Jingyu, who came hurriedly, happened to see this scene. After Gu Fanzhi's carriage left, Tang Jingyu stepped forward and grabbed Gu Pianran's hand.
Gu Pianran was startled. When she saw that it was Tang Jingyu, surprise flashed in her eyes. Noticing that his expression was not right, she asked with concern, "What's wrong?"
"Follow me." Tang Jingyu pulled her onto the horse and then rode away quickly.
Dongmei, Xiahe and several other maids watched helplessly as the eldest lady was taken away by Prince Jin.
"I can see that Prince Jin has a very unhappy face. Will something happen to the young lady if he takes her away like this?" Xia He said worriedly.
"Don't worry, Prince Jin won't do anything to Miss."
Dongmei knew all too well how much Prince Jin cared about their daughter, wishing he could carry her around with him every day. Perhaps his actions today were due to his observation of the Fourth Prince.
"Let's go back."
Dongmei waved her hand and several maids entered the mansion, and happened to meet the servant in the young lady's courtyard.
"Sister Dongmei, these house deeds and land deeds don't belong to that shop." The servant was a little scared and didn't dare to look at her.
He didn't understand why he had to pawn these house deeds and land deeds at that pawnshop and why he wasn't allowed to pawn them elsewhere. Now that the pawnshop refused to accept them, he was really worried that the eldest lady would blame him.
"Give me the things, I will take care of them." Dongmei waved to the servant, and the servant was pardoned.
Dongmei put the things away for the young lady, as they were no longer needed.
A horse sped towards the outskirts of the city, and the rider tightly hugged the person behind him, "Jingyu, what are you crazy about? Stop now."
Instead of stopping, Tang Jingyu sped up.
"Tang Jingyu." Gu Pianran's voice suddenly rose, and it was obvious that she was really angry.
