The Third Prince's Mansion
"Can't you find it?" asked the third prince Gu Hanyu in a deep voice.
"I have checked everyone in the mansion and found no suspicious individuals. This letter seems to have appeared out of the blue."
Fang Qing, the third prince's trusted guard, also found this incident quite strange.
The study was always guarded by guards, yet that person was able to enter quietly and place the letter on the table. If that person had any ill intentions towards the Third Prince, his life would be in danger.
Gu Hanyu looked at the letter at hand. The handwriting on the letter was crooked, as if it was written by a child who was just learning to write. The paper was also the most ordinary and cheap rice paper, making it impossible to investigate.
"It seems that I will have to go and meet him in person."
"Your Highness, this is too dangerous. What if this is a trap?" Fang Qing advised.
Gu Hanyu said quietly, "If the other party really wants to attack me, with this ability, can this prince escape?"
This was a good point, so Fang Qing stopped trying to persuade him.
The next day, Gu Hanyu quietly left Chang'an City in an ordinary carriage and headed straight for the Fahua Temple in the suburbs.
As soon as he entered the Fahua Temple, a young monk took him into the bamboo forest on the back mountain.
The bamboo forest twisted and turned, resembling a maze. After asking carefully, he realized it was indeed a maze. The bamboos were arranged according to the Seven Stars formation, and without a guide, it was difficult to enter.
After hearing this, Gu Hanyu became more curious about that person.
After a moment, the view suddenly opened up, and a bamboo house appeared before my eyes. Last night, there had been rain in the mountains, and a thin mist had lingered in the bamboo forest. This mist had become quite dense once it entered the forest, but now it had completely disappeared, as if an invisible barrier had surrounded the bamboo house.
Gu Hanyu attributed this strange sight to the Seven Star Formation.
"Sir, I will take you here."
After the young monk performed a Buddhist salute, he turned and left, leaving him alone.
Gu Hanyu walked along the long stone path, step by step, towards the bamboo house, and saw a slender figure with its back to him.
He stepped into the house and walked up to the man. When he saw the person in front of him clearly, Gu Hanyu's eyes suddenly widened.
The man didn't even look at him, and said in a cold and indifferent voice, "Sit down."
She held the teapot and poured each of them a cup of tea.
Gu Hanyu sat down and looked at the person in front of him, "Mu Xiangjun."
He called out the person's identity.
Ever since he received the mysterious letter, he had been wondering who it could be.
He thought of countless people, but never thought of Bei Yutang.
When I suddenly saw her today, the surprise in my heart was beyond words.
"Mr. Muxiang, I wonder why you asked me to come here?" Gu Hanyu asked straight to the point.
He knew the ability of this Mr. Muxiang.
It must be no ordinary thing for her to meet me in this way today.
He probably guessed something.
Bei Yutang looked at him with a smile, "Third Prince, why do you think I invited you here?"
Gu Hanyu didn't play any tricks and uttered three words.
"Forbidden City."
Bei Yutang chuckled, "Your Highness is indeed a very insightful person. I came here today to make a deal with Your Highness."
Gu Hanyu's heart was slightly moved, but his face remained calm. "Transaction? I wonder what kind of transaction it is?"
"Your Highness, are you interested in the position up there?"
This is a temptation! And it's an obvious temptation.
Both of them are smart people, so they naturally understand the intention.
