"OMG, the sun must rise from the west today."
"I think I must be dreaming. Our 'otherworldly' boss has actually fallen from the sky."
It only took an hour for Xius to let everyone know about Bei Yutang's existence.
He liked to see all the labels that belonged to him on her.
Every day after that, they would see the boss taking her to and from get off work, and they were inseparable 24 hours a day.
Bei Yutang once asked why, and someone replied seriously, "If you leave me, you'll have problems."
"For example?" Bei Yutang looked at him.
"At the banquet."
Bei Yutang looked at him awkwardly. This was such a good reason that she was speechless.
In fact, she could still guess what he was thinking, but she chose not to say it.
Some things, as long as you understand them yourself, that's enough.
The time she spent with him made her a little addicted.
The office is very quiet, one is working seriously, and the other is reading leisurely.
Bei Yutang had gone from sitting upright at first to now sprawled out on the sofa in a completely unpresentable manner. Her shoes had been removed, revealing a pair of fair feet. Her legs were bent and raised high. They were restless, dangling in the air.
Hughes looked up from his papers and saw this scene. A few rays of light from the window shone on her, on her fair legs and tender, white feet, looking playful and adorable.
It feels good to see her when I look up.
Xius looked at her, his eyes becoming dark and gloomy.
Bei Yutang seemed to feel the burning gaze behind him, and raised his head from the book. His clear eyes were filled with a hint of ignorance, and he looked a little silly, but inexplicably pleasing to the eye.
When she suddenly met his deep eyes, Bei Yutang felt her heart skip a beat.
This extremely aggressive look made her heart tremble slightly.
At this moment, Bei Yutang's cell phone rang, breaking the weird atmosphere.
Bei Yutang looked at the unfamiliar number displayed on her phone. This was a new number she had just registered and she knew very little about it.
Apart from close friends and parents, only Xiu Si knew about it.
"Who is this?" Bei Yutang pressed the answer button.
"Hello, is this Miss Bei Yutang?" A young woman's voice came from the other end of the phone.
"Yes, I am. May I ask who you are?"
"Tang, it's me, Annie." The other party said excitedly.
A hint of surprise flashed across Bei Yutang's eyes, "Annie, it's you."
"Yes. I asked someone to find your number this time because I wanted to thank you. If it weren't for you, I'm afraid I would..." Her voice paused, seeming very sad, but soon her tone became cheerful again, "Are you free? I want to treat you to a meal."
Bei Yutang closed the book and glanced at the time. "No need to eat, how about we have afternoon tea together?"
"Okay, then we'll meet at XX Cafe at three o'clock."
"no problem."
After hanging up the phone, I heard Xiu Si's questioning voice.
"Who is it?"
"Annie, you've seen it."
Zeus frowned, and it was obvious that he didn't remember her existence.
"I'm going to meet her. Meet me at XX Cafe after 5 o'clock."
Hughes nodded in agreement, "Let the driver take you there."
"No, taking a taxi is more convenient."
-
XX Cafe
As soon as Bei Yutang entered the cafe, he saw Annie sitting there.
"Tang, you're here." Annie greeted warmly.
Bei Yutang ordered a cup of coffee before looking at the person in front of him.
"You seem a little haggard."
Annie looked slightly stunned, then smiled and explained, "It's because I've been working late lately."
Then she changed the subject and asked, "Are you still following that rich man?"
"right."
"Is he good to you?" Annie asked.
"Well enough."
Annie's eyes flashed with envy, "You are so lucky to have met such a good person."
"God bless you." Bei Yutang said jokingly.
Just then, the waiter came up with the coffee. Bei Yutang stirred it gently, picked up the coffee cup, and just as her lips touched the wall of the cup, her hands stopped moving.
She kept her gaze fixed on the person opposite her, and saw that she was staring intently at the coffee in her hand.
Annie saw her put the coffee down and asked suspiciously, "Why don't you drink it?"
"It's too hot, wait a moment." Bei Yutang looked at the woman in front of her. She didn't feel any pain about her betrayal. After all, they had a relationship in the past, but it wasn't so deep that it made her feel disappointed.
"Annie, you asked me to come here today not just to thank me, right? Tell me, the purpose of your invitation to me." The smile in her eyes faded, and she looked at her with cold eyes.
Annie looked at her in shock, "Tang, what are you talking about? I don't understand."
"Are you still going to act? Tell me, who is the master behind you?" Bei Yutang was too lazy to play guessing games with her and asked straight to the point.
"I, I really don't know what you're talking about." A hint of panic flashed in Annie's eyes.
Bei Yutang raised the corners of his lips slightly, "Annie, you know what? You are not suitable for lying."
As Annie was thinking about how to dispel her suspicions, a male voice came from behind her.
"Miss Bei is very smart."
When Bei Yutang heard the voice, her pupils shrank slightly, and she saw Joseph walking towards her with a hint of admiration and hatred in his eyes.
She wondered when she noticed the hatred in his eyes.
She had no grudge against him, so where did his hatred for her come from?
Her revenge on him hasn't even begun yet.
"Miss Bei, we would like to invite you to our house for a chat. I wonder if you would honor me."
Bei Yutang saw that all the customers in the coffee shop had stood up, with pistols tucked into their waistbands. The meaning was too obvious, and she had to go even if she didn't want to.
"Mr. Joseph has gone to so much trouble to invite me. If I don't go, I would be letting you down."
Joseph was very pleased with her for being sensible. He had originally intended to have her drink the drugged coffee and take it away without anyone noticing. But since she had seen through his plan, he didn't hide it anymore.
"Let's go." Joseph looked at her, not afraid of any tricks she might play.
Bei Yutang stood up, took two steps, and suddenly stopped. She turned and looked at Annie, "Your gratitude is very special. I will always remember it."
An unnatural look flashed across Annie's face. "I'm sorry, I..."
Bei Yutang interrupted her explanation coldly, "You don't have to explain to me."
Having said that, he followed Joseph away.
After getting in his car, it drove away from the cafe quickly.
Shortly after Bei Yutang was taken away, the phone on Xius's desk rang.
"What's up?"
"Boss, Miss Bei has been taken away by Joseph."
