Two men slowly walked out from behind her.
The two of them never expected that she would notice them.
Bei Yutang looked at the two men, one tall and one thin, wearing linen clothes, looking at her with ill intentions.
"Yo, the little ladies all know about us buddies."
The two men looked at her as if she were fish on a chopping block. It was her only pity that she was so lucky, knowing they were behind her, yet she still walked into this dead-end alley.
"Hand over the money you have on you." said the tall man.
"Don't say you have no money. We saw that you have quite a bit of money in your pocket."
When Bei Yutang was buying food, they noticed her bulging purse, which showed a lot of silver. The two followed her all the way, waiting for a sparsely populated area to make their move, but unexpectedly she arrived at the place first, which made their move much easier.
"Do you want money?" Bei Yutang took out the purse from her waist and held it in her hand.
The two men stared at the purse in her hand, their eyes full of greed.
"The money is here. Come and get it if you can." Bei Yutang spread out his hands.
The two exchanged glances, a sneer playing on their lips. "It seems you want us to use force."
As the words fell, the two rushed up at the same time, one on the left and one on the right, blocking her way out, leaving her with no way to escape. As they approached, Bei Yutang bent her body and simultaneously struck out with a palm, hitting him directly in the heart.
With a "bang", the man's body flew backwards. Another man's fist also reached Bei Yutang. She leaned back to avoid his attack and hit his back with her other hand.
The man stumbled forward, and before he could stabilize himself, someone kicked him on the butt, sending him flying.
The two men now understood that they had met their match.
A few minutes later, the two men knelt on the ground, covering their hands and feet, and groaning in pain.
When the two saw her coming, they covered their red and swollen faces in fear and shouted, "Lady, spare me!"
They thought she was just an ordinary peasant woman, but they had no idea that beneath her plump frame, she possessed such skills. If they had known how powerful she was, they would never have dared to attack her.
"Lady, spare my life."
Bei Yutang looked at the two of them and said, "Let's go."
"Thank you, lady."
The two men got permission and ran away.
After the two left, Bei Yutang picked up her things and returned home. However, as soon as she left the town, she found that someone was still following her.
She stopped, turned her head and looked at the deserted loess road, and whispered, "Come out."
There was no response, no movement.
Bei Yutang glanced past the man's hiding spot and continued walking forward. The man was still following closely behind her. Bei Yutang threw a stone in her hand and heard a muffled groan.
Then he heard the man leaving in a hurry. Bei Yutang turned around and looked in the direction the man left.
Who is following her?
Could it be someone from Lei's Trading Company? !
Along the way, Bei Yutang paid extra attention to the movements behind her, and only entered her village after confirming that there was no one around. It seemed that someone was following her, but she didn't know who it was or why.
In the evening, Bei Yutang cooked a delicious meal for Xiao Zimo. After dinner, the two of them went for a walk and repaired their chains. Bei Yutang looked at the woman in the mirror. The spots on her face had almost faded. Even her fat body was gradually becoming thinner.
