Secretary Fang felt it was too embarrassing for him to buy these books, but if he told his subordinates about it, what if one of them didn't keep his mouth shut and leaked some news, the boss's image would be ruined.
Helpless, Secretary Fang had to bite the bullet and go to the bookstore to buy a bunch of books. When he came out, his whole face was red.
At the Ke family villa, Bei Yutang was not watching TV this time. Instead, she was embroidering a piece of silk. When she heard the noise, she hurriedly hid the thing.
Although she moved quickly, Ke Yiyang's eyes were sharper and he had noticed what was hidden behind her. However, he did not ask any further questions and pretended that he saw nothing.
Bei Yutang walked forward and asked with a smile, "What good things did you bring back?"
When Bei Yutang opened it, he saw that the bag was full of books.
When seeing the title of the book, Bei Yutang felt embarrassed inside, but looked excited on the surface.
"Is this your compensation?" Bei Yutang raised an eyebrow and looked at him.
"If you say so, then so be it."
Bei Yutang snorted proudly.
On the third day, the fourth day... and countless times afterwards, Ke Yiyang's heart, which had been hanging in the air, slowly calmed down as time went by.
That morning, when Ke Yiyang opened his eyes, he habitually reached out to embrace the woman beside him. However, when he found that there was no one beside him, he sat up in shock, and his face became gloomy.
He hurriedly got out of bed and rushed into the bathroom, but there was no one inside, and no one in the locker room either.
Ke Yiyang came down in a hurry. There was no one in the living room and no one in the dining room either.
His expression grew darker with each place he passed, and dark whirlpools surged in his deep eyes, like the surge before a storm.
"Ahua!" Ke Yiyang shouted.
When Ah Hua heard the sound, she hurried out of the room and was shocked to see the boss's gloomy face.
"Boss, what's the matter?" Ah Hua asked in a trembling voice.
"Where is Yutang?" Ke Yiyang's tone was cold and full of anxiety.
"I-I don't know. I didn't see the ma'am."
As soon as she finished speaking, Ke Yiyang rushed out. Ah Hua looked at Ke Yiyang going away and couldn't help but cover her chest.
The boss's eyes were so terrifying, as if he wanted to kill her.
If the salary here wasn't so high, she would have wanted to quit every minute.
Hey, for the sake of rice, just bear with it!
Ke Yiyang walked out of the house and rushed out, looking for someone outside. He ran around nearby but did not see Bei Yutang.
Ke Yiyang stood on the empty road, his heart feeling like it was hit hard by something.
She deceived herself!
She deceived herself again!
Ke Yiyang clenched his hands into fists, with veins bulging on the back of his hands.
He took out his cell phone and made a call, which was quickly connected.
"Mr. Ke, long time no see." The man on the phone greeted warmly.
"Use the fastest method to find Bei Yutang." Ke Yiyang said gloomily word by word.
"Okay."
Ke Yiyang hung up the phone and walked back.
As he entered the courtyard, he saw a slender figure standing there. The morning sun shone on her, seeming to gild her with a golden glow. The flowers in the woman's hands were delicate and gorgeous, but they couldn't compare to the alluring smile on her beautiful face.
Ke Yiyang looked at her infatuatedly and foolishly, and his confused and frightened heart was filled up little by little.
