Wen Liyu had no idea what her uncle was thinking. She took the lunch box from the table and left with Assistant Yang.
Fu Wenting was left alone, standing there with a blank mind for two or three minutes before returning to the office to continue working.
He was too busy to think about why he was so wrong just now, and buried himself in the numerous documents.
In the next few days, Wen Liyu would come to her uncle on time with her lunch box to have lunch.
Originally, Fu Mei wanted to pay for his dinner, but Fu Wenting often had to have dinner and chat with various leaders and wealthy people in the evening and had no time.
"Did your uncle tell you anything?" Fu Mei held her little daughter in her arms, "like asking you for help..."
"No." Wen Liyu said honestly, "But my uncle's assistant suggested that I go to the art troupe."
"Art troupe?" Fu Mei was furious when she heard the first part, but her attention was drawn to the second part, "Does your uncle know?"
"Well... you should know?" Wen Liyu suddenly thought that she hadn't seen Assistant Yang in the factory for a long time.
The second time she went to the factory, she knew how to get there and didn't need anyone to lead her.
Moreover, the security guards at the factory gate all knew her, and now she just passed by without being noticed.
"I know..." Fu Mei murmured thoughtfully, "Could there be any changes in the art troupe in the future?"
Seeing her mother lost in thought, Wen Liyu took her lunch box and walked out of the house.
"Ride slowly!"
Wen Liyu learned to ride a bicycle a few days ago under the guidance of her eldest and second brothers. "Got it!"
She rode her bicycle to the Xuri Factory and parked it in the shed. Seeing that there were three people guarding the small shed, she was puzzled but didn't say anything.
"Uncle." Wen Liyu knocked on the door.
"Enter."
She heard her uncle's deep voice before pushing the door open and entering.
Fu Wenting sat behind his desk, processing documents without looking up. "Xiaoyu, sit down and wait for a moment."
"Okay." Wen Liyu put down the lunch box very naturally, walked to the table and took a sneak peek.
When he found that he couldn't understand it, he took the initiative to help his uncle organize the documents on the table.
Tidy up so you can put away your lunch box.
Fu Wenting let her clean up and didn't think there was anything wrong.
"Uncle, why haven't I seen Assistant Yang recently?" Wen Liyu suddenly spoke.
Fu Wenting paused with his pen, and a small black dot appeared next to the word he had just written. "…What does Xiaoyu want to see him for?"
"Hmm?" Wen Liyu continued to pack her things. "I want to ask him something."
"What can't I tell my uncle?" Fu Wenting put the cap on the pen, and with a 'dong' sound, the pen was put back into the pen holder.
Wen Liyu paused, turned her head away a little embarrassedly, "Uncle is so busy, I'm embarrassed to waste your time."
"...It's not a waste." Fu Wenting's chest rose and fell slightly as he slowly rolled up his shirt sleeves to halfway up his arms. "Go ahead."
"That's right..." Wen Liyu carried her lunch box and placed it on the tidied table. "Last time, Assistant Yang suggested that I sign up for the art troupe. He said I had a good chance of being selected."
"Art troupe?" Fu Wenting raised his eyebrows slightly at the unexpected answer. "Xiaoyu is interested in dancing?"
"Hmm..." Wen Liyu blinked and whispered, "It's okay, I just don't want to continue to muddle along."
Fu Wenting raised his eyes upon hearing this and stared at her for a while, until Wen Liyu felt uncomfortable, then he looked away, "Xiaoyu has finally gotten the idea."
Wen Liyu pushed his lunch box over without saying a word.
Fu Wenting took it and the two of them ate quietly for a while.
"Why didn't you tell your uncle?"
Wen Liyu chewed the food in her mouth and raised her head after swallowing it. Her chopsticks poked small holes in the crystal clear rice, "I don't want to trouble my uncle..."
"Don't want to, or don't dare?" Fu Wenting looked straight at her, his eyes like black jade.
Wen Liyu didn't expect her uncle to ask this, and she opened her mouth but no sound came out.
"Xiaoyu can tell Assistant Yang, but not me." Fu Wenting was like an aggressive elder who would not give up until he got a response.
"Is my uncle so scary?"
"No." Wen Liyu pursed her lips, "I just... don't want to trouble my uncle."
Fu Wenting frowned, but before he could say anything, Wen Liyu spoke again.
"And didn't my uncle refuse my second brother and eldest sister when we had dinner together before?"
Her eyes dodged, as if she was a little scared. "I know my uncle is very busy, so I won't bother him with such a small matter."
Fu Wenting felt like there was a stone pressing on his heart, which made him feel depressed and a little irritated.
Wen Liyu didn't expect any response after she finished speaking. She continued to eat with her chopsticks and even picked up some food for her uncle, apologizing for what she had just said.
People nowadays pay a lot of attention to politeness. As a junior, it was very impolite for her to say something that was almost a complaint in front of her uncle.
If there were other people around, Wen Liyu would definitely give them a good scolding.
Fu Wenting hadn't figured out how to resolve his inner frustration when it suddenly started to rain heavily on a sunny day outside.
The rain was falling so heavily and densely that it was almost impossible to see the road.
At a glance, the streets and pedestrians disappeared, leaving only a vast expanse of white.
"Why is it raining?" Wen Liyu hurried to the window. The rain hit the window glass, making a crackling sound.
She placed her fingers on the glass, which was constantly vibrating from the wind and rain. The vibrations passed through the glass and reached her fingertips. "Uncle, it's raining so hard."
"Yes." Fu Wenting stood up, "Xiaoyu will wait here."
