Chapter 20 Tyrant x Carp 20

Wen Liyu silently moved behind Shaoyao and used his broad body to shield herself.

She has been in this world for so long, and at most she has only seen a few of Shaoyao's subordinates in black, and that was in the form of a fish.

Ever since she picked up the jade pendant, Shaoyao would disappear for an hour or two every day. She guessed that Shaoyao was going to meet her subordinates or to cause trouble.

However, Concubine Wen Yan should have nothing to do with them. She just saved her life last time in order to avoid being framed.

Chu Shaoyao also felt that something was amiss, and his brows knitted tightly together, "What does the Imperial Concubine want from me?"

The young eunuch was one of Noble Consort Wen Yan's confidants. He lowered his head and said, "Your Highness, I don't know either. Your Highness simply asked me to come and invite Your Highness over for a chat."

Wen Liyu quietly tugged at Shaoyao's sleeve and whispered in his ear, "Last time, in order to save you, I secretly left a pill and a note for Concubine Wen that could give her a child."

Chu Shaoyao glanced at her with mixed feelings, "You..."

"Oh, I forgot about it as soon as I came back. After being tormented by you for so long, who would still remember such a small thing?" Wen Liyu pouted slightly and glared at him coquettishly.

Her arrogant look was so adorable that Chu Shaoyao's heart trembled. He secretly put his hands behind his back and pinched her fingers.

After playing around, Chu Shaoyao stood up and said to the eunuch, "Let's go."

"Yes, Your Highness, please follow me." Little Leo bowed again and led the way.

After Wen Liyu and the other two left, she put the bucket into the space, put an invisibility talisman on her body, and followed them in a swagger.

Because she walked slowly, when she arrived at her destination, she only saw Chu Shaoyao and Concubine Wen sitting there in silence.

She quietly walked to Chu Shaoyao and poked his hand with her finger. Being invisible couldn't hide her voice, so she didn't say anything.

Chu Shaoyao paused and spread out his hands calmly. Concubine Wen was still half leaning against the chair, as if she didn't notice them.

Wen Liyu was writing and drawing on his hand. Chu Shaoyao couldn't figure out what Xiaoyu had written, even after a few guesses. He was also worried that something had happened to the fish eggs. He suddenly said, "If your majesty has nothing else to do, I will leave first. The vegetables in the yard haven't been watered yet."

Concubine Wen sighed softly and sat up straight, "Your Highness, why worry? I'll let the servants do the watering for you."

She wanted to detain Chu Shaoyao here and see if she could lure out a master who could help her twice.

He can walk freely in the imperial palace and escape unscathed from the emperor's side. His kung fu must be unfathomable.

Concubine Wen thought of this, and her alluring gaze lingered over Chu Shaoyao. "I simply wanted to know if the pills were as potent as the note said. Your Highness, why did you keep hiding it?"

"Now that Changle Palace is full of my people, Your Highness, why don't you speak frankly?"

Chu Shaoyao paused, then glanced at his palm calmly. He could only rely on the sense of touch to know that Xiaoyu was still by his side. "Then I will be frank with you. What can the Imperial Concubine give me?"

"That depends on what you want, Your Highness?" Wen Yan smiled slightly.

Chu Shaoyao tapped the armrest lightly with his other hand and uttered a word after a while, "Min."

Wen Yan's expression changed, but she quickly recovered, "Your Highness has really given me a difficult problem."

"This prince is waiting for the imperial concubine's reply at his residence." Chu Shaoyao smiled faintly. He was not scared by her low tone and stood up to say goodbye.

After Chu Shaoyao left, the palace maid Hong Xiucai, who was standing behind Wen Yan and fanning her, asked in confusion, "Your Majesty, why don't I understand?"

"Stupid." Wen Yan nudged her forehead with her unnailed fingers and returned to her usual lazy sitting posture. "He wants to be crowned king and leave the palace."

"Be crowned king? But there is no prince yet...ah!" Hongxiu finally understood.

At the beginning of the year, the eldest prince had just reached the age to be crowned king and leave the palace, but the emperor had never issued an edict and had him stay in the palace, as if he did not have this son.

Now the eldest prince came to discuss something with the empress, and the empress had something to ask for, so he made a request that seemed simple but was actually difficult.

However, if Wen Yan works hard to fulfill this request, she just needs to consider whether it is worth it.

Chu Shaoyao returned to his residence and didn't see the bucket in the corner. He panicked and said, "Xiaoyu, the bucket is gone!"

"It's here with me!" Wen Liyu immediately appeared, put away the talisman paper that had a few minutes left, and took the bucket out of the space. "I have a storage space that can hold living things, so I put the cub in it."

"That's good." Chu Shaoyao breathed a sigh of relief, put the bucket back in place, and looked at the fish eggs.

After making sure the fish eggs were okay, he reached out and took the little carp spirit into his arms. "Why are you following me again? Didn't I tell you it was dangerous?"

"Oh, didn't you say that it's dangerous only around the emperor? I'm going with you to see the imperial concubine, not the emperor!" Wen Liyu was not at all intimidated, and she put her hands on her hips with confidence.

"You!" Chu Shaoyao couldn't do anything with her, so he bent his hand and knocked on her forehead.

The two of them played around for a while, and Wen Liyu snuggled into his arms and asked him, "What did you mean by 'Min' just now?"

"Min is in the south, it's vast and sparsely populated and far away from the court. I'm confident that I can control the officials in Fujian and give you and your children a safe environment to live in." Chu Shaoyao told her his thoughts bit by bit, including the general situation in the court and the benefits he would gain after being crowned king.

"But the journey is long. If it really works, I'm afraid it will take you a while."

Wen Liyu was not worried about how tiring it would be to ride in a carriage. As long as the bucket was placed steadily and did not shake, there would be no problem.

She reached out and hugged Shaoyao, nuzzling him happily. "I didn't expect you to think so much in just a short while. You're amazing."

Chu Shaoyao touched her hair. In fact, if Xiaoyu had not become pregnant so quickly, he would have spent more time fighting for a better territory.

But he doesn't have much time now, so he can only choose a relatively remote place that has always been ignored by his father.

There are also advantages to not paying attention, as it allows him to plan more boldly and quickly.

His ambitions cannot be satisfied by being a mere King of Fujian.
