Chapter 195 Who did you come here for?! 7

The original owner hadn't replied to her messages before, not because she was angry or anything, but mainly because she was afraid to look at them. Even though she had made such a bold move to run away, she was still somewhat afraid of her home.

When she sees her mother sending her messages or making phone calls, she instinctively avoids them to prevent her family from scolding or criticizing her.

Wan Ge still pressed the answer button and softly called out, "Mom."

Seeing that the other party was willing to answer the phone and hearing the familiar voice, Madam Shen gently said, "Xiao Ge, are you having a hard time out there? You've lost weight. Shall I come and pick you up from school?"

Even if her husband disagrees, she will still go and bring her child back.

"I don't want to!" This was the original owner's rejection; the other person was now very resistant to going home.

Wan Ge whispered again, "I'm doing very well now, Mom, don't worry."

"Then shall I have someone send your wallet over?" Actually, the Shen family did not restrict her cards, but since this girl decided to run away from home, she did not take any bank cards or anything else with her except for the cash in her wallet.

Wan Ge told her again, "Really, you don't need to. I'm doing really well, so you don't need to worry about me."

Although life was indeed not as good as before, the original owner was really happy during the time she ran away from home, and felt especially free, a freedom she had never experienced before.

"Is Dad still angry?" She must have really infuriated him by doing this, since he hadn't said a single word to her.

The original owner didn't either, because she didn't dare.

Madam Shen immediately replied, "That's just his stubborn temper. You don't need to worry about him. Don't let it affect your decision not to come home."

Wan Ge lowered her head and didn't speak. Madam Shen seemed to realize something, and then gently said, "If you want to go home, just call Mom anytime, okay? Don't be afraid."

Wan Ge hummed in agreement and then apologized to the person on the other end of the phone.

Madam Shen didn't say much. She knew it wasn't entirely the children's fault; it was their strong desire for control that had been controlling her life.

But they had all lived like that, their lives controlled by their ancestors. She felt sorry for her daughter and knew that her desire to escape wasn't wrong. But that was their life, wasn't it?

Wan Ge didn't talk to her much, just told her to get some rest, and then hung up the phone.

On the top floor of a building, a middle-aged man in a suit pushed up his glasses as his assistant gave a serious report.

If you hadn't heard what was going on, you would have thought they were talking about something very serious. But actually... the assistant was reporting on some things about Shen Wange, including the trending topic that happened today.

Mr. Shen said in a deep, calm voice, "Tell them that the Shen family has only one heir."

He had no other children; Shen Wange was his only daughter.

He genuinely wanted to make her suffer outside, so she would obediently admit her mistake and go home. He also intentionally revealed her identity to make others hesitant to accept her and to get her to work for their family.

But just because she has to suffer doesn't mean that others can bully her or target her.

All he wanted was for her to not have such a good life. His daughter had been spoiled since childhood, and he believed she wouldn't be able to keep it up for long.
