When Wan Ge arrived at the meeting place, Song Yao's mother was also a strong woman who was still involved in various company decisions. Because she was too busy, the meeting place was still near the company.
Wan Ge arrived a few minutes early, but the other person was already there drinking coffee and looking down at documents.
Wan Ge walked over to the other person and softly called out, "Auntie."
Madam Song looked up at the girl in front of her and said, "You're much prettier than in the photos. Please sit down."
The first thing the other person said was a compliment, which Wange hadn't expected.
As soon as Wan Ge sat down, the other person pushed a card next to him in front of her: "Here, take this card. There's no limit. Spend it however you want."
Wan Ge was not quite clear about what the other person was saying.
The woman in front of me signed her name at the end of the document before closing it and looking up at Wan Ge.
“Song Yao has been very persistent since he was a child. He never gives up on someone he likes, and he doesn’t fall in love with someone easily. I know he’s serious about you. I don’t have anything to give you, this is all I have.” She and her husband were obsessed with making money and didn’t even take care of their children. They had nothing but money.
"So what does Auntie mean?" It seems the other party didn't mean for him to take the money and leave.
Mrs. Song seemed to realize something as well: "You don't think I'm here to persuade you to break up, do you?"
Madam Song lowered her head and smiled, seemingly with a hint of helplessness: "Although I haven't shown much care for Song Yao, I still know him very well. Once he's made up his mind about something, he won't let go of it no matter what. I don't think I can force you two to separate."
The important thing is that Song Yao has finally found someone she likes, and she doesn't want them to be separated.
Wan Ge seemed to understand what the other party meant by coming to find her. They simply wanted to give her money and tell her that they had accepted her as their daughter-in-law and that she would have the support of the Song family from now on.
Looking at it this way, it seemed that Song Yao's parents weren't as bad as she had thought.
Wan Ge pushed the card back: "Thank you, Auntie, but I don't need it. Your consent is the best gift."
"Keep it here. I've ordered lunch for you. I have something to do, so I have to go now." After saying this, Mrs. Song picked up her bag and documents, seemingly preparing to leave.
Just then, someone rushed in in a great hurry. Song Yao went straight to his mother, his eyes filled with anger: "What do you want to do!"
His tone was particularly bad; he was clearly very angry.
Wan Ge touched Song Yao's fingertips and tugged at his clothes: "Song Yao... Auntie, she..."
Before Wan Ge could finish speaking, Song Yao angrily said to his mother, "My affairs are none of your business."
At that moment, he saw the card on the table, quickly picked it up, and threw it at Madam Song: "What else can you do besides solve problems with money!"
"Song Yao!" Wan Ge's voice became much louder. Looking at everything that had suddenly happened in front of her, Wan Ge seemed to understand something.
Looking at Wan Ge, who was scolding him, Song Yao seemed to have a hint of grievance in his eyes, and he was obviously angry too.
Wan Ge sighed and said helplessly, "Your mother didn't say anything to me. She agreed to us being together. It's not what you think."
