Cold and aloof emperor, take it easy. 2.3.4

Qinglu thought this was just an excuse for him to leave. He reached out and carried him back to the bed, then prepared to leave. But the next second, Wange grabbed his hand.

Wan Ge looked at him and cautiously said, "Could you stay with me for a while? Just a little while, until I fall asleep, then you can leave."

She felt completely insecure. She had lost all her memories. Even when the little fairy told her that she was the wife of the Emperor, the Queen of the Gods, and the Goddess of All Spirits, she was still insecure.

But now she knows nothing, feels uneasy about having no memories, and is confused about not being able to use her divine powers.

She remembers nothing. Her only husband, with whom she has a relationship, is very cold towards her. But even so, he is still her husband and the only person she knows. So only he can give her a sense of security.

It wasn't that Wan Ge didn't want to get to know Xiao Xian'e, but the other girl was always very respectful to her, and there was no way she could be friends with her.

Therefore, the only person she knew who was quiet was Qingluo.

"Okay." Qingluo hadn't thought of this. She sat down next to her, letting the other hold her hand, and quietly watched her fall asleep.

After Wan Ge fell asleep, Qing Luo reached out her hand, and her gentle divine power fell upon Wan Ge.

This was already the umpteenth time Qingluo had used his divine power to nourish her body and heal her injuries.

After healing her with her divine power, Qingluo lowered her head and kissed her forehead.

His fingertips landed on her cheek. At this moment, Qingluo did not have any of the aloofness of the emperor. Instead, he seemed to be filled with frustration and endless sorrow.

Qingluo couldn't understand. They were childhood sweethearts, a match made in heaven. She was his wife, so why would she fall in love with someone else? Why didn't she love him?

He admitted that he had created her memories; that he had sealed them away in an attempt to make her forget that person.

She had no idea how happy he was on the day they could get married. But on what should have been their wedding night, she told herself that she loved someone else and hoped he would divorce her and set her free.

No one knows what he felt at that moment. He could only reply with the words that their marriage was ordained by heaven and could not be taken lightly, before fleeing in panic.

When Wan Ge woke up, the hand he was holding had already let go, but he saw Qing Luo handling some business on the side.

The other party was browsing through all sorts of things related to the gods. Besides the gods themselves, there were also some special matters in the pantheon and the six realms that required his help in making decisions.

After taking a nap, Wan Ge felt much better. Her injuries didn't hurt anymore; she could only feel that she was hurt.

She rose gently and poured Qingluo a cup of tea: "Husband, have some tea."

Qingluo's hand holding the pen paused, the ink instantly staining the entire document black: "What...did you call me?"

"Husband...husband, don't you like me calling you that?" Wan Ge lowered her head again. He was her husband, shouldn't she call him husband?

"No, call it whatever you like." After saying that, Qingluo's fingertips twitched slightly, and the folding paper that had just been stained with ink returned to normal. However, no one noticed that his other hand seemed to be trembling.

She called him husband.

Wan Ge placed the tea beside him, and her mood improved slightly after receiving his consent.

Qingluo took a sip of the tea she was given, and then continued reviewing the memorials.

There wasn't much for Wan Ge to do, so she helped him grind the ink.

In truth, the ink in the magic pen Qingluo holds never runs dry. The ink sticks placed on the desk are perhaps just for aesthetic purposes by the celestial servant.

Since the other party had already prepared ink for her, Qingluo naturally wouldn't miss out.

Wan Ge unknowingly sat down next to him, and after getting bored, she started to doze off.

When Qingluo woke up, she was still handling official business, but there were almost no unprocessed memorials left on her desk.

"Is everything done?" Wan Ge blinked.

Qinglu hummed in agreement, finished reviewing the last memorial, and then slightly raised her hand, causing all the memorials on the table to disappear, naturally falling into the hands of the rightful recipients.

Do you often have to handle so many things? Doesn't it get tiring?

"It's alright." Qingluo's gaze fell on her. It used to be very good because with her help, it was easy and quick to handle things.

Until three hundred years ago, on the day they got married, she fell in love with the Demon Lord and never looked at him again.

She wasn't even willing to maintain a facade of civility. If he hadn't refused to divorce her, she might have already run off to the Demon Lord's side.

No… there’s no *maybe*. She’s already been to the Demon Lord’s side, but he doesn’t seem to like her much.

It's okay. Even if she forgets now, they can still go back to how things were before. They definitely can.

Wan Ge looked at the man who had just said he wasn't tired, but the next second he hugged her, as if he was inexplicably exhausted.

Wan Ge didn't know how to comfort him, so she just gently patted his back.

"If you're tired, take a rest." That was all she could say. She really didn't know this emperor well, even though he was her husband and someone she could rely on now.

But in my memory, this person was a complete stranger; to be precise, she was a stranger to everyone.

Qingluo replied softly, "Just let me lean against you for a bit."

Wan Ge felt the other person's head rest on her shoulder, and for some reason, she felt a pang of heartache. So being an emperor is this tiring?
