After receiving the news that their son wanted to get married, Mo Cizhou's parents immediately rushed back from abroad.
Wan Ge had just finished class that day and returned to her home near the school with Mo Cizhou. As soon as she opened the door, she smelled the aroma of food.
Mrs. Mo's face was full of smiles. Hearing the noise, she walked over to them. When she stood in front of Wan Ge, you could see the joy in her eyes: "You must be Wan Ge. You are so beautiful. Zhouzhou has such good taste."
"Wange, this is my mother," Mo Cizhou introduced to Wange from the side.
"Hello, Auntie. You are so beautiful and young. You and Zhouzhou look like siblings." Wan Ge was telling the truth. Madam Mo was around forty years old, but she looked like she was only in her early twenties. Her cheeks were a little chubby, which made her look even younger.
If Wan Ge hadn't known that villains often have very strong genes, she would never have guessed that the person in front of her was her mother; she looked more like a sister.
Mo Cizhou looks quite similar to his mother, and it's clear that they are related by blood.
"You're so good with words." Madam Mo stood on the other side of Wan Ge and took her hand. "Come on, I've made something delicious for you."
"You did this?" Mo Cizhou frowned slightly, somewhat worried.
Madam Mo coughed lightly and continued, "Your father also helped."
"Oh." That's good, otherwise we might not be able to eat it.
Her mother was a kitchen disaster; she seemed to have no problem with the seasoning and the food looked good, but she could still make the food taste terrible. However, with her father helping and giving her pointers, this problem wouldn't occur.
…
During the meal, Mo Cizhou's mother kept using serving chopsticks to put food on Wan Ge's plate, placing all sorts of delicious dishes in her bowl. "Wan Ge, eat more, look how thin you are."
"Ahem." Mr. Mo looked at his empty bowl, cleared his throat twice, and turned his gaze to his wife.
Mrs. Mo glanced at him, then turned her gaze back to Wan Ge: "Would you like some soup, darling? I made some soup. Although I'm not a great cook, my soup is delicious."
"Okay, thank you, Auntie." After saying that, Wan Ge picked up another empty bowl and prepared to ladle out the soup. At this moment, Madam Mo was about to go over to help her ladle the soup.
But before he could take a step, someone grabbed his hand: "You like her a lot?"
Mr. Mo's entire mood plummeted. He looked at his wife with such intense longing that he practically wanted to pounce on her.
"Huh?" Mrs. Mo turned to look at her husband and subconsciously replied, "I like it."
Why doesn't the mother-in-law like her daughter-in-law? The more she looks at her daughter-in-law, the more she likes her.
"You guys eat first," Mr. Mo said, then picked up his wife.
Mo Cizhou's gaze met Wan Ge's, and he said softly, "Don't worry about them."
"Hmm, so do you want some soup?" Wan Ge raised both hands, and only then did Mo Cizhou realize that he had taken two bowls.
Finally, he smiled and nodded: "Okay."
…
Wan Ge seemed quite used to Mo Cizhou's parents' situation. Was it because she didn't care, or was she really used to it?
Mo Cizhou was used to it so he didn't care, but he still felt that Wan Ge's reaction was a bit off.
"What are you thinking about?" Wange stood beside him, looking at his thoughtful expression, and asked softly.
Don't you think my parents' behavior is a little strange?
