He's useless, why not choose me? 19

As soon as Wan Ge entered the house, she saw Xuan Yi sitting in the courtyard drinking tea.

Wan Ge was taken aback for a moment, then obediently bowed and said, "Greetings, Your Highness the Crown Prince."

"You don't need to be so polite with me." Xuan Yi put down his cup, looked at Wan Ge in front of him, and slowly said, "Didn't Sister Wan Ge say she wanted to conspire with me?"

"No, no, no, that wasn't me who said that." Wan Ge quickly waved her hand. How could she and he be involved in a conspiracy?

"Then, does Wan Ge want to?" Xuan Yi looked at her earnestly with his beautiful eyes, a slight smile playing on his lips.

Wan Ge lowered her head gently, and after a while, she raised it to look at him seriously: "I did not want to conspire. How could Your Highness and I be conspiring? Aren't we mutually in love?"

"You like me?" Xuan Yi said casually, but the cup in his hand tightened unconsciously.

"Isn't that obvious enough?"

"Why?" Xuan Yi was still a little confused. She didn't like Xuan Yu very much, and wasn't she sad because of him?

"Because when I was in the abyss, the only one willing to lend me a hand was His Highness the Crown Prince." Wan Ge met his gaze with her beautiful eyes, showing no fear whatsoever, as if to say that this was indeed the case.

Xuan Yi smiled, then put down his cup: "How can I trust you?"

As soon as Xuan Yi finished speaking, the woman in front of him suddenly reached out and cupped his cheek, and the next second her soft lips pressed against his.

The woman's unique fragrance also entered his nose; it was a scent he had been longing for lately.

When Wan Ge let go of the person, she saw that the other person's originally calm and composed expression was now full of shyness, and their cheeks were completely red.

"Why is Your Highness so shy?" Wan Ge smiled slightly.

"Cough, you treat him the same way?"

"Who are you talking about? The Third Prince? I have never been so intimate with him. I have only been intimate with His Highness the Crown Prince."

Xuan Yi became even more embarrassed by what was said, and unconsciously took another sip of tea before immediately changing the subject: "Since... since that's the case, you don't need to be so polite as to call me Crown Prince."

"Then what should I call you? Brother Xuan Yi, or Brother Yi?"

"Whatever...whatever you want." Xuan Yi had tried very hard to control himself from being shy and to calm down, but he couldn't quite control himself and was still very nervous and shy. What should he do?

Looking at how shy he was, Wan Ge really wanted to tease him, but she was also afraid that he would get angry or misunderstand something, since he thought she had just gotten over her previous relationship.

Oh well, I'll tease him again later.

Xuan Yi took another sip of tea and asked, "How did you know that I had someone by your side?"

Wan Ge glanced at the guards who were helping to clean the yard, her meaning couldn't be clearer.

Xuan Yi himself possessed profound internal strength, and he naturally sensed that the two people in the courtyard were not simple individuals, both being highly skilled in martial arts.

"Left to you by General Jian?"

Wan Ge nodded, her eyes filled with both happiness and sadness. She was happy because they were indeed given to her by her father, and sad because her father was still in prison.

Xuan Yi saw through her thoughts at a glance and said softly, "Don't worry, I think General Jian will be fine. Although I'm not so sure right now, I think your father will be alright."
