"I understand," Jin Chenli replied obediently.
…
A month later, Wan Ge met an enraged Si Qi.
It had only been a month since I last saw him, and his skin tone had noticeably darkened by several shades.
"Why have you gotten so dark?" Wan Ge asked, puzzled. Had he gone to work in the coal mine?
Si Qi was on the verge of tears: "It's all your husband's doing, sob sob... Sister-in-law, you have no idea how miserable I've been this past month."
Wan Ge looked puzzled.
Si Qi ignored her and walked straight up to Jin Chenli: "Jin Chenli! I'm breaking off all ties with you! Breaking off all ties!"
"Oh." Jin Chenli responded calmly, then looked up at him indifferently.
Si Qi immediately lost his temper: "It's not that we can't break off our friendship... You have to make it up to me. Although I was the one who wronged you at first, but... but you can't treat me like this!"
Jin Chenli calmly poured himself a cup of tea and then answered his question: "Your father has decided to hand over the company to you, and his illegitimate son will not inherit a single penny."
"Are you serious!" Si Qi's eyes were filled with joy. He was not happy that he could inherit the company, but that his illegitimate son would not get a single share of the company's shares.
His reason for fighting for the company was to prevent his illegitimate son from getting it; otherwise, why would he have tolerated traveling to such remote places on business?
"I reckon your dad will tell you about this soon."
Si Qi looked deeply moved, seemingly forgetting why he had come to see him in the first place: "Good brother, I knew you wouldn't do that to me."
"Stay away from me." Jin Chenli glanced at the other person coldly as he looked at him about to pounce.
If his wife hadn't stopped arguing with him, he would have made sure Si Qi never came back.
Now it's a blessing in disguise. His wife isn't angry anymore, and she's even promised to take care of his feelings in the future, making time for him no matter how busy she is with work.
Si Qi glanced pitifully at Jin Chenli, and after finding that the other party was unmoved, he looked at Wan Ge.
Less than three seconds later, someone reached out and turned his face to face: "That's my wife, you're not allowed to look!"
"I only glanced at my sister-in-law twice, why are you making such a fuss?"
"That won't work!" Jin Chenli snorted coldly.
"Okay, okay, I won't watch it. I'll go back now. I need to talk to my dad about something."
"Go ahead." Jin Chenli watched him walk away.
After Si Qi left, Wan Ge looked at Jin Chenli and asked, "His father probably never thought he would hand over the company to him so soon, right?"
"Yes, it wasn't originally there. How did you guess, honey?"
"I think Si Qi seems to care a lot about the issue of his illegitimate child. If his father wasn't an idiot, he wouldn't have thought of relinquishing power so early."
After all, no one can guarantee how Si Qi will treat his illegitimate son or him once he gains power.
"Siqi's mother was killed by them, and Siqi can't let it go."
"If that's the case, why would his father be willing to hand over the company to him?"
Even if his father really likes him, he wouldn't relinquish power so early.
"I gave his dad some things, it was all voluntary. Okay, let's not talk about him anymore. Wife, come here."
Wan Ge didn't know why the other person had called her, but she still obediently walked over to him.
As soon as she reached his side, he pulled her into his arms, his deep eyes looking at her with a smile.
