On the second floor of the grand and luxurious castle, a singer, holding a glass of red wine, stood with a noblewoman and looked at the small courtyard not far away.
"What place is that?" Wange asked the girl beside her.
The noble lady beside him sighed, glancing at the manor with a hint of disdain in her eyes: "Oh, you mean that place? Let me tell you a secret, that's where my cousin lives."
"Where does your cousin live?" Wan Ge frowned slightly, but in her memory, her uncle and aunt were very kind to her cousin.
The noblewoman chuckled again: "It's not the cousin you know. I'm only telling you this. The cousin who lives there now is still related to me by blood. But he was lost when he was a child and lived with lowly ants, and picked up some bad habits."
He was only found seven years ago, but my uncle wanted to take him to a banquet so that others would know his identity, but instead he stole from the Duke of Boris's house.
His uncle and aunt felt he was too embarrassing and didn't want to acknowledge him, so they kept their distance from him and didn't reveal his identity, since no one else knew either.
Seeing that no one claimed the child's parentage, the Duke of Boris handed him over to the guards. He was imprisoned for three months.
He was actually quite clever; he didn't reveal his identity and bring shame upon our family.
After he was released, his uncle was even more reluctant to let anyone know his identity, so he let him live in that small courtyard. If anyone asked out of curiosity, his uncle would say he was the gardener.
Wan Ge has already met the noble lady beside her and her cousin who is not related by blood. She has confirmed that the other party is the male lead. If the other party is the male lead, then the person living in the courtyard must be the villain, the person she is looking for.
The other person continued with a disdainful look: "Just don't go over there. Don't get yourselves into bad luck. You're our school's genius, the most talented magical girl. Don't get involved with him."
In this world, besides the so-called legitimate bloodline, there is another way to gain power and status: learning magic.
A person can work hard to earn more money, thereby gaining status and identity.
But for someone without magical talent to want to acquire it is simply a pipe dream.
The noble lady was not quite sure what Wan Ge's identity was outside of school, or what her family background was.
But she was the most talented magical girl at school, and even most of the teachers couldn't help but smile when they saw her, and some even tried to curry favor with her.
Because they all knew that she was incredibly talented and would definitely achieve great things in the future. They believed that if they could win her favor, they might be able to gain some benefits from it later.
Therefore, even nobles like them were willing to have contact with a magician like her, become good friends with her, and invite her to banquets.
However, when it comes to magic, her cousin seems to have quite a bit of magical talent as well.
To be honest, everyone in their family has some magical talent, just to varying degrees. But their blood cousin didn't show any signs of possessing magical abilities, which explains why he's not well-liked at all.
How can anyone like someone who knows nothing and has such poor character?
On the surface, Wan Ge seemed to agree to her request, but while the other noble ladies were chatting with that noble lady, she quietly left their side.
Wan Ge walked to the small courtyard she had just seen. The fence of the courtyard was planted with many light purple roses, which looked particularly beautiful.
At the entrance to the small courtyard inside the fence stood a strikingly handsome young man.
The other person had extremely beautiful blond hair; all members of the Getalie family had blond hair.
However, there are quite a few men in this world with such handsome blond hair, but they are mostly nobles, and it is rare to find commoners with such beautiful hair.
So the Duke first asked which family the child belonged to, to avoid any misunderstandings.
However, no one admitted it, so there was no misunderstanding.
No one contacted him secretly afterward, so they felt justified in detaining him for so long.
…
With golden hair, deep blue eyes, strikingly handsome features, and extremely fair skin, he looked every bit the pampered young nobleman.
However, the other person's hands, with their distinct knuckles and slender shape, bore some fine scars, likely from years of hard work, along with calluses. Although the fabric he wore wasn't bad, it wasn't the kind of material that aristocratic clothing belonging to the Hertali family should be made of.
If someone saw him and asked about his identity, it wouldn't be strange if he said he was a gardener.
…
The boy sitting in the courtyard seemed to notice the other person's gaze, so he immediately turned around and looked at Wan Ge.
The moonlight resembled a young girl in a long, golden gown, looking extremely noble and beautiful, like a goddess high above.
The boy didn't speak first; he just glanced at it and then turned back to continue what he had been doing.
Seeing that the other person didn't seem to care, Wange took the initiative and said, "Hello, I'm Ange Hill. You're very beautiful. What's your name?"
Perhaps sensing that the other person meant him no harm, and that she had a very nice smile, the boy replied, "Hello, my name is Kos."
Koss simply answered her question and then didn't react further, continuing to do what he had just been doing.
