It's okay, I'll heal you! 23

The next day, around nine o'clock in the morning, Wan Ge brought Qin Nian home.

Mr. Yun had investigated Qin Nian's background and knew a little about him. He didn't like Qin Nian's family background, but he wasn't targeting Qin Nian personally, so his attitude towards him wasn't bad.

As for Madam Yun, she knew about him because of her daughter and had become somewhat of a fan, so she was naturally very happy to see him. Moreover, Qin Nian's voice was indeed very unique, and she felt quite pleased listening to his singing.

Neither parent gave Qin Nian any trouble and both welcomed her. Qin Nian breathed a sigh of relief, realizing that Wan Ge's words about her parents being easy to get along with were indeed true.

When Wan Ge was called away by Madam Yun to help, there were only three men left in the living room.

Mr. Yun handed the report to his assistant and dismissed him before speaking to Qin Nian: "My wife and I don't have any major objections. As long as Wan Ge is happy, that's fine. She's an adult and knows her own choices. But what did your father say? Or have you contacted your father?"

Qin Nian paused for a moment: "You know me..."

Mr. Yun took a sip of tea and then interrupted him: "I know, and please don't be angry. After all, Wan Ge is a girl, and girls are always more likely to suffer in matters of the heart. I won't feel at ease if I don't investigate thoroughly."

Qin Nian nodded: "I understand. Besides, I like Wan Ge, and I should be honest about my family situation. It's just that when I left, I severed ties with my father, and we haven't been in contact for many years."

“Your father loved your mother very much, so it’s not surprising that his personality changed drastically after she left. You’ve had a tough time all these years.”

Qin Nian shook his head: "My father's resentment towards me is not without reason, I know that."

He couldn't understand it at all before, but after having a lover, he seemed to understand it a little, yet not quite.

Rationally speaking, he was his son, the child born from the painstaking efforts of the woman he loved, and he should love him. In fact, this was true even before his mother passed away.

From an emotional perspective, his mother's death was closely related to his birth. When his mother was still alive, his father could temporarily forget about her because of her comfort and companionship.

But after his mother left, he lost his rationality and was left with only emotions, so it's normal for his father to complain about him.

His mother was in poor health before she became pregnant. Doctors advised her not to keep the baby, but she didn't listen because she didn't want to give him up. So she risked her life to give birth to him.

After giving birth, his mother's health deteriorated, and she passed away before he could grow up.

While his father resented him, he also resented himself. So after his mother passed away, his father treated him coldly and even complained about him when he was drunk. Of course, he also felt guilty and blamed himself.

His father was his only relative. When he was young, he tried his best to please his father, but to no avail.

As he grew older, he seemed to realize that his father could no longer treat him the way he did when he was a child, and that without his mother, his father would never love him again.

When his mother was still alive, his father would sometimes look at him with a pained and sad look in his eyes. Sometimes he was very nice to him but he didn't dare to be that nice. Now he understands why.

"Uncle seems to know my father very well?" Qin Nian realized the key to the problem; Mr. Yun's tone suggested that he knew his father quite well.
