Jiang Jin - Modern Era Chapters 21, 22, 23

Wan Ge looked over and found it was still the same child, whose mother seemed to be on the phone and didn't seem to care much about him.

Seeing the child's arrogant attitude, Wan Ge simply ignored him.

The child naturally noticed that Wan Ge was ignoring him completely, and immediately became unhappy, since he was always surrounded by people flattering him wherever he went.

"Hey, didn't you hear me? I told you to get my ball back, do you want to die?"

Wan Ge turned around and gave the child a cold look. After all, she was once the mother of a nation. With just one glance from Wan Ge, the child was so frightened that he didn't dare to say a word.

Then the child saw Wan Ge pick up his ball, and the next second the ball hit him back.

Wan Ge didn't want to argue with the child, and was even more worried that it would cause trouble for Jiang Jin. But she wasn't the kind of person who would just endure it. Since others had treated her like this, she couldn't just swallow her anger.

She knew that if Jiang Jin found out about this, he would not let her swallow her anger.

The child was already a little scared because of her expression, and when she was hit like that, she immediately started crying.

The woman who was on the phone said a few words to the person on the other end after hearing her son cry, and then hung up.

The woman immediately picked up her son, her gaze falling on Wan Ge. She was somewhat surprised to see her, because she had seen her in the luxury store.

The reason she remembered Wan Ge was the same as the reason the older woman remembered Wan Ge: because Wan Ge was very beautiful, making her very memorable.

"Did you make my son cry? I'll give you a chance. If you can soothe him, I won't hold it against you." As for how the other party wants to soothe him, that depends on what her son thinks.

Wan Ge sneered, "Coax him? What is he anyway?"

"You!" Madam Sheng was shocked that someone would dare to speak to her like that.

"Do you know who I am? I'll make sure you can't stay in the entire City A."

"Yeah?"

Just then, someone tugged at Madam Sheng's hand.

When Madam Sheng turned around, she saw Madam Wang. Madam Wang had also heard Madam Sheng's words when she came over.

Her relationship with Madam Sheng was so-so. Both of their families had been privileged since childhood, but because of business dealings, they got along quite well.

In truth, Madam Wang looked down on Madam Sheng and disliked her manners. However, both her own family and her current husband's family were connected to this woman. Especially since the two families had recently started a business collaboration, Madam Wang accepted the invitation and went out.

But to their surprise, as soon as they arrived at the designated location, they heard Madam Wang say those words.

What shocked her even more was Wan Ge standing in front of her.

She recalled that on the day of the banquet, Madam Sheng did not attend because her child was sick and she went to take care of the child. Therefore, she did not know who Wan Ge in front of her was.

Madam Wang said softly, "Do you know who he is? She is Jiang Jin's fiancée. They are planning to get married. The invitations should have been sent to you by now."

After the wedding date was set, the invitations were naturally sent out. Madam Sheng did know that Jiang Jin was getting married, but she didn't really know what the bride looked like.

After all, Jiang Jin rarely attends banquets, and he is generally not seen at banquets attended by anyone who is not particularly special.

Upon hearing Madam Wang's words, Madam Sheng's face instantly froze. She turned her gaze back to Wan Ge, a forced smile on her face: "So it's Madam Jiang. I'm so sorry, it was all a misunderstanding."

"I don't think there's any misunderstanding." Wan Ge nodded to Madam Wang as a greeting, then left without looking back.

Madam Sheng immediately turned to look at Madam Wang, as if asking what to do now. Madam Wang shook her head helplessly. How would she know what to do?

If she really offended the Jiang family, then she would have to discuss it with her husband and then see how the Jiang family treated the Sheng family.

To be honest, Madam Wang had long been dissatisfied with Madam Sheng's behavior, but they hadn't become enemies because of their business dealings and because Madam Sheng didn't dare to treat her that way.

Presumably, Madam Sheng would restrain herself in front of her because of the mutual interests between the two families.

But if the Jiang family really wants to take action against the Sheng family, Wang Jia will definitely be thinking about how to break away from them, so as not to be greatly affected or have her interests harmed.

Madam Wang looked helpless and said, "Why don't you buy some gifts and apologize in person?"
