Little demon, don't be afraid, I'll protect you.

Just as the shopkeeper was about to give Wan Ge change from the demon coins in his hand, Wan Ge had already turned and left.

Demon coins cannot increase the power of demons, but whatever humans can think of, demons can naturally think of as well, though it's all for convenience.

The amount of demon coins varied, and the shopkeeper felt inexplicably nervous holding a large sum of demon coins in his hand.

A demon that can so easily give out such a large amount of demon coins must be a very powerful demon, but why would it appear in their small town? That shouldn't be the case.

Powerful demons like them usually go to more powerful places with more abundant demonic energy. There's nothing in a small town like theirs that's worth them staying in.

Cang Mu was having a great time shopping. Wange bought him something special, and Cang Mu suddenly stopped.

Wan Ge looked at him with a puzzled expression and asked softly, "What's wrong? Are you tired from shopping?"

Cang Mu shook his head and said softly, "Did I buy too much stuff?"

He bought a lot of things; anything he glanced at for more than a second, Wange bought.

He found it all novel, because he had always lived a life of hiding and trying not to be discovered by others, so it was inevitable that he would feel curious when he first came to such a place.

"It's not much at all, don't worry. I don't even care about such a small amount of money. Let alone this little bit, I could easily buy the entire market." Forget about this little bit, the entire demon realm is hers, okay?

The worry in Cang Mu's eyes dissipated considerably, but he still spoke softly, "Why don't we go back first and stop shopping?"

He was still worried that if he looked at something too much, Wange would buy it for him again.

"You really don't want to shop anymore?"

Cang Mu nodded, and Wange didn't say anything more: "Since that's how it is, let's go." She then extended her hand to him.

Cang Mu obediently gripped his hand, but at that moment, a noisy sound suddenly came from the other side.

Many demons ran in their direction, shouting as they ran, "Run! A high-level demon beast is coming!"

High-level demonic beasts generally do not appear in places with many demons, and high-level demonic beasts also have intelligence. They do not need to harm lesser demons to achieve any purpose. Therefore, only high-level demonic beasts that have gone mad will suddenly attack towns.

Some slightly more skilled individuals tried to take on the challenge, but they quickly ended up covered in blood.

Wan Ge wasn't afraid. Holding Cang Mu, she flashed to the highest point and looked at the high-level demon beast in front of her, which was engulfed in flames. This demon beast shouldn't be here. So where did it come from?

Did someone deliberately let him out? To deliberately drive him mad?

"Stay here quietly and don't be afraid." Although she didn't know if a powerful demon had deliberately lured the monsters here, Wan Ge couldn't just ignore something like this.

Cang Mu nervously gripped his sleeve. Although he didn't know if Wange could defeat the monster, he could feel its oppressive aura just by standing there. It must be incredibly strong. He didn't want Wange to go; he was worried she would get hurt.

"Don't be afraid, trust me, I'm very strong." Wan Ge kissed him on the forehead.

Seeing her resolute expression, Cang Mu silently released his grip and watched her charge down the mountain. In her hand lay the sword he had just bought.
