Love-struck individuals cannot be clear-headed. (4, 5, 6, 7)

"No need, brother. I don't need you to handle this kind of thing. I'll take care of it myself." Wan Ge's tone was extremely firm, seemingly showing no mercy whatsoever.

To be honest, her brother still had some doubts and was afraid that Wan Ge wouldn't be able to do it, but since his sister had said so, he couldn't say anything more and could only say, "Alright, since that's the case, then do what you think is right. If you need anything, just ask your brother."

"Thank you, brother." After sending the voice message, Wange put down her phone and stood by the roadside waiting for the car she had called to come and pick her up.

Before her taxi driver arrived, a car slowly pulled up in front of her, and as the window rolled down, a strikingly handsome face appeared before her.

The person who appeared was none other than the original owner's older brother, Xi Wanmu. Xi Wanmu was also surprised to see Wan Ge there: "Why did you come out of the hospital?"

Wan Ge concealed the fact that she was injured and hospitalized, but she was still caught.

"Get in the car first, brother will take you to eat something delicious." Xi Wanmu was just passing by the hospital and was on her way to a friend's house when she unexpectedly saw someone who looked just like her sister. When the car drove over, she realized that it really was her sister.

Without standing on ceremony, Wan Ge got into the passenger seat and asked, "Who are you going to see, brother?"

"A friend who just returned from abroad invited me to dinner."

"You've already made plans to have dinner, is it really appropriate for you to take me there?"

“What’s inappropriate about it? It didn’t say I couldn’t bring family members.” After saying that, Xi Wanmu asked casually, “So why did you come to the hospital?”

Wan Ge knew she couldn't hide it any longer, so she told the truth.

After hearing this, Xi Wanmu's hands gripping the steering wheel bulged with veins: "That bastard, he actually dared to lay a hand on you. I won't be able to vent my anger until I beat him up."

"Just beating him up would be too easy on him. Don't worry, I have my own methods."

"Have you really let go?" Xi Wanmu asked, still somewhat uncertain.

In fact, given how close he was to his sister, Xi Wanmu couldn't possibly be unaware of everything. He had already tried to persuade her and knew very well what kind of person she was when she became persistent. If he hadn't let go of anything, she would definitely be unhappy if he did something.

"I've really let go, brother. Don't worry, I'll never be love-struck again."

"You'd better be." Xi Wanmu snorted, pretending to be unhappy, but the worry in her eyes was too obvious.

What the other party is more worried about is whether Wan Ge is sad now, and what he should do about someone who is hurt both emotionally and physically.

"There's nothing wrong with being love-struck, but you have to find the right person. Not everyone is worth being love-struck with."

"I know, thank you, brother."

"Do I need to thank you? By the way, you said you can be discharged from the hospital, so your body should be fine now."

Wan Ge nodded again: "It's nothing serious, just this spot on my forehead. You can see it's already bandaged up."

The tests didn't find anything wrong, so it shouldn't be anything serious.

"That's good." Xi Wanmu certainly understood her younger sister.

About ten minutes later, the two arrived at the agreed restaurant, where someone was already sitting and waiting. If there was no doubt, this should be the friend that Xi Wanmu had mentioned.

The other person, dressed in a black suit, sat quietly in a chair, his beautiful eyes gazing out the window as if contemplating something important.

His aloof and refined demeanor was just like the male protagonist in a sketchbook. The other person seemed to notice their arrival, and when he looked up, Wan Ge was momentarily stunned by his beauty.

The other person had handsome features and deep eyes; Zhou Shen's cool and aloof aura was like the bright moon in the sky.

For some reason, Wan Ge felt a sense of familiarity with the other person, a very familiar feeling, but the other person wasn't a villain? She didn't sense any villainous aura from him.

"And who is this?" A deep, cool voice rang out, its tone as melodious as the sound of a zither.

"This is my sister. She was injured and just came out of the hospital. I happened to be passing by, so I brought her over. You shouldn't mind, right?" Xi Wanmu explained.

It was obvious that the other party had no intention of slapping him in the face, and said in a relaxed tone, "I see. In that case, Miss Xi, please have a seat."

Wan Ge said something and sat down in a chair with Xi Wan Mu.

Before and after the meal, the two talked about the cooperation, but didn't mention anything else. They just ate in silence without saying a word.

"So you're here to discuss cooperation today!" Wan Ge sighed softly. She thought he was really here to catch up with an old friend, but it turned out he was here to meet with a business partner.

Xi Wanmu smiled faintly and said, "Cooperation is secondary; the main thing is that we haven't seen each other in so long and I wanted to meet up."

"Oh." Wan Ge didn't expose him. There was nothing wrong with it; it would be even better if the other party could help her family.

The two simply had a meal and discussed their collaboration. No other activities were arranged. Xi Wanmu said he was still adjusting to the time difference, which was why nothing was planned. They would arrange other activities after he adjusted to the time difference.

Wan Ge still felt a strong sense of familiarity with the other person, an inexplicable familiarity. She thought there shouldn't have been any mishaps, and that nothing could have made her feel wrong.

"What's wrong, Miss Xi? Why are you staring at me like that? Is there something on my face?" The other person's pleasant voice rang in my ears again.
