My lord, I can't marry you!

"Your Highness, isn't that your fiancée?" a man asked the exceptionally handsome man before him, glancing downstairs.

A woman had just stepped off a carriage, still wearing a veil, but the carriage itself said it all.

The man sat upstairs in the teahouse, looking down at the scene below. He gently curled his lips and responded in a low voice.

Then, following the people around him, he said, "Everyone, please feel free to do as you please. This king will pay the bill."

After saying that, he stood up immediately.

"Where is Prince Duan going?" asked a colleague next to the man who had just spoken.

Prince Duan, Jiang Jin, was the son of the late Empress. His elder brother was the Crown Prince, and his elder sister was the Princess. As the youngest son of the Emperor, he was greatly favored.

However, this young prince seemed unwilling to be a spoiled brat, so at a young age he followed his maternal grandfather to the frontier, where he made great military achievements and was known as a young general.

When he first entered the military camp, no one knew his identity as a prince. They all thought he was a student of a general and had no idea that he was the emperor's youngest son.

It wasn't until after the triumphant return to the capital, when the emperor bestowed upon him the title of prince in the main hall, that they learned that this young general was actually the son of the late empress.

The soldiers were shocked and had even more respect for this young general.

Originally the most favored young prince, he ended up eating, living, and going to the battlefield with them, always charging to the front lines.

If I hadn't witnessed it all myself, I probably would have thought it was all fake, that the emperor wanted his son to have some merit, so he had someone impersonate him.

But it is precisely because I witnessed everything that it couldn't be more real.

Lord Zhang shook the fan in his hand and said, "I don't know. I can't very well go to Miss Chi."

"Hey! He really went to see Miss Chi!" one of them said, still looking downstairs.

Hearing this, the others leaned over the railing and looked down. One of them asked in confusion, "What's going on? Wasn't it said that this young prince didn't like Miss Chi? How could this be?"

Jiang Jin has a gentle personality, and when the atmosphere in the military camp is tense, he will do something humorous to ease everyone's mood.

Therefore, in their eyes, the young prince has always been a gentle and humorous person who gives the impression of having a good temper, but when he gets serious, he exudes an aura of authority without anger.

When they're angry, it goes without saying that no one dares to take a step forward.

On one occasion, during a surprise attack by the enemy, a group of men disobeyed Jiang Jin's orders and acted on their own, resulting in the complete annihilation of that group, with no survivors.

But that was the only time they saw Jiang Jin angry, and from then on, no one dared to disobey his orders.

They felt that a prince like this would marry someone who was either humorous and witty or free-spirited and unrestrained.

But the eldest daughter of the Duke's mansion, to put it nicely, was composed; to put it bluntly, she was dull and uninteresting. They simply couldn't believe that Jiang Jin would like such a proper, high-born lady.

Moreover, he never mentioned his fiancée in the military camp, and rarely contacted her after returning. Everyone thought that Jiang Jin's marriage to the Duke's family might fall through.

But Jiang Jin, your current behavior doesn't seem like you dislike her? Or are you just trying to humiliate Miss Chi?
