The Bodyguard Villain's Heiress 21

Upon hearing the housekeeper's words, Wan Ge subconsciously looked at A Han. A Han didn't seem too nervous and reached out to pat her head, saying, "Don't be afraid."

Wan Ge nodded, and seeing that he finally smiled, she softly replied, "As long as you're here, I'm not afraid."

Ahan kissed her on the forehead, and then they went to the study together.

As soon as Ahan entered the study, a knife was pressed against her neck. Completely unlike his usual gentle, refined, and composed demeanor, the scholar's eyes now held a sinister glint: "Who exactly are you? What do you want?"

"What are you saying, sir?" Ahan's usually aloof and indifferent face now showed a hint of doubt. But she still didn't seem threatened by death, remaining calm and composed.

"You're not a bodyguard I trained. Who are you and what are you doing here?" Until he discovered that Ahan wasn't a bodyguard he had trained, Mr. Shu hadn't suspected him.

The incident started yesterday when the power went out. He wanted to go to the secret room, only to find that it had been disturbed.

The photo he had placed there was slightly off-angled. At first, he doubted that he had remembered it wrong, but it still made him suspicious.

So he pulled up the surveillance footage. Yes, he had placed surveillance cameras in the secret room; they were cameras that didn't need to be plugged in.

However, perhaps the other party noticed, because the surveillance footage did not capture a clear face, but only a man in black wearing a hat and mask, who eventually looked at his ledger.

So he ordered his most trusted person to investigate who had sneaked into his secret room. Everyone around him was someone he had trained; who would betray him?

It was only when they investigated that they discovered the Ahan they had placed next to Wan Ge was actually a fake. The current Ahan was not the Ahan they had trained at all; he had impersonated Ahan to get close to him.

His purpose must be quite clear: he wants the ledger.

So everything he did to Wan Ge was to come back and gain his trust. Damn it, he only found out now.

Originally, he wanted to keep someone who had deceived Wan Ge by his side so that Wan Ge would hate him and he could keep an eye on her, but he didn't expect to raise a tiger that would cause him trouble.

Cleverness backfired; I never imagined I'd end up like this, being tricked by a mere young punk.

Ahan instantly deduced from his facial emotions and expressions that although he had asked him to come with Wan Ge, he still didn't know the true relationship between the two of them.

Actually, he had thought about this yesterday. After entering the secret room yesterday, he noticed that there was surveillance inside.

So he wasn't surprised at all, but he was worried that his relationship with Wan Ge would also be discovered. He didn't care, but he was afraid that Wan Ge would still be in a difficult position.

"What is Father doing?" Wan Ge also noticed that Mr. Shu had not yet discovered their relationship, so her tone was still disgusted, as if she was asking this question simply because she did not understand what was going on.

"Those who betray me always meet only one end." Mr. Shu sheathed his knife, his cold eyes fixed on Ahan as if he were looking at a dead man.

Ahan stopped pretending to be indifferent and, after adjusting her cuffs, asked, "So, sir, you're planning to kill me to silence me?"
