Wan Ge gently touched his hair and kissed his forehead: "Su Yi, you did nothing wrong."
You've never done anything wrong, so why admit it?
"I'll listen to you, I'll listen to you, I'll do whatever you say from now on, don't leave me..." Su Yi seemed not to have heard what Wan Ge said at all.
"..." It seems the other person is still not sober.
Wan Ge thought she should make him some hangover tea, but just as she was about to get up, she was held tightly in her arms.
Su Yi rolled over and pinned her down: "Don't go, please! Don't leave me."
"I won't leave you! Be good." Wange patted his head again, trying to comfort him.
Su Yi lowered his head and kissed the person in front of him. He had no idea whether it was reality, a dream, or a fantasy he had while drunk. He just didn't want to let go of the person in front of him.
…
…
Su Yi felt a sharp pain in his head, and the sword that should have been in his arms was gone.
Su Yi immediately sat up and realized he wasn't wearing anything. At the same time, he sensed a presence beside him and looked down to see a familiar face.
Su Yi couldn't believe his eyes. He slapped himself, the pain bringing him even more to his senses.
Wan Ge? Is it real? She's right beside him? Is he dreaming?
Wan Ge stirred, opened her eyes, and saw a handprint on the other side of the other person's delicate face.
"Who hit you?" Could she have slapped her own little Su Yi because of her sleeping posture?
"Wange! You're back." Su Yi hugged her tightly.
Wan Ge gently hugged him back: "Yes, I guessed you missed me, so I came back to see you."
"I miss you so much." Su Yi's eyes reddened, and tears fell from them again.
"Why are you crying again? You promised you wouldn't cry." Looking at him like this, Wan Ge wondered if she hadn't been gone for long.
“Your body…” Su Yi suddenly sensed something was wrong. “I knew it…”
"Know what?" What was he trying to say? Did he think he wasn't himself?
"I knew you weren't the Demon Emperor, you weren't that woman." I knew you weren't the Demon Emperor, you weren't the woman who hurt me.
"When did you find out?" Wan Ge listened to his words and suddenly fell into deep thought. When did she give herself away? No, she had been giving herself away all along, but he shouldn't have noticed.
Because of the formal system, no matter how much one's personality changes, others won't really notice.
“I’ve had my doubts ever since I found out there was no Apocalypse…” Ever since he found out there was no Apocalypse, he’s been wondering why she changed herself.
Later, she went to the gods for his sake, and suffered divine punishment for it. He was absolutely certain that she was not the woman who had hurt him. But he had lost her forever.
Wan Ge thought about it for a moment, and realized that Su Yi had indeed been to that place. That was for the best; the body he should have hated was gone, but his lover remained.
"Who...who are you? How should I address you?" Su Yi felt a little confused about his lover.
Wan Ge's smile deepened: "So, what do you want to call me? Wan Ge or my wife?"
Now that he already knows, Wan Ge is spared the step of explaining herself, and finally doesn't have to feel so heartbroken.
