Nielris whispered, "The priest said the first step to making you like me is to show you how powerful and handsome I am."
"So, to prove your power, you beat up Hades?" Is Hades some kind of vengeful spirit? He was your enemy back then, and you beat him up pretty badly. Now you're beating him up again.
Hades leaned against his wife, looking at her with a pitiful and aggrieved expression.
The Queen of the Underworld quickly tried to comfort her in a low voice.
Wan Ge sighed and told Nerris, "See? If you like someone, you like them, whether they're strong or weak."
Nielris was slightly taken aback by their actions, then thought of what Wange had said: "So you're trying to tell me that you don't like me, even if I'm very strong you still don't like me."
Nielris's eyes instantly reddened at the thought.
"That's not what I meant, don't misunderstand!" Wan Ge touched her forehead and felt a headache. She really didn't mean that. She just wanted to tell him that he didn't need to prove anything with this kind of behavior. She liked him, but that didn't mean he only liked his strength.
But Wan Ge can't say such intimate things to him now, and she can't use sweet words to coax him, because he would believe her.
Nerris bit her lip in grievance, then turned and left.
Meanwhile, Hades pretended to clutch his chest, as if he had just suffered a serious chest injury. Hades looked at him with heartache.
After Wan Ge Geng Ming Hou said she would come again next time, she chased after him.
…
When Wan Ge found Nerris, he was squatting by a small river in the human realm, holding a small stick in his hand, seemingly drawing circles on the ground.
Wan Ge sighed and finally spoke in his ear, "Nairris, I want to tell you that I like you not because of your power, but simply because I like you. Even if you were just an ordinary god, I would still like you."
Nerris immediately stood up, her previously disappointed eyes brightening: "Ange! Did I hear that right? You just said you like me?"
Wan Ge coughed lightly and then turned around: "If you didn't hear me, then just pretend I didn't say anything."
"No! I heard you!" Nerris immediately pulled the person into her arms.
Just as Wan Ge was about to push him away, Nerris silently let go, his expression showing grievance, as if he understood that she would push him away, so he sensibly let go first.
Wan Ge is the type of person who responds best to gentle persuasion but not to force; there's simply no way to deal with that.
“I don’t really enjoy interacting with people, I’m sorry, Nerris, but it has nothing to do with whether I like you or not.”
Nerris looked up in surprise. He really enjoyed being around her and wanted to get close to her, but he never expected that Wan Ge would suddenly tell him that she didn't like being close to others.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't even know about this, and I've made you suffer."
"I wasn't wronged. I originally intended to keep it a secret, but I didn't want to hurt you, so I decided to tell you."
"It's my fault for not knowing my fiancée well enough," Nerris quickly waved his hand.
Wan Ge hugged him and kissed him on the cheek, without offering any further explanation.
Nerris curled her lips when Wan Ge couldn't see her, remembering the second method the priest had mentioned: if the little princess didn't accept the first method, then the second method was to show weakness.
