During lunch, Nan Zhi, who was eating quietly, suddenly heard a voice: "We ordered the same thing, so why does his look like it tastes better?"
Nan Zhi looked at the girl in front of him. She had only eaten a few bites of the lunch she ordered, and her thoughts seemed to have wandered off.
However, her gaze was fixed on herself; she was staring blankly at herself because she thought it tasted even better after she had eaten it herself.
Wan Ge seemed to really not want to eat anymore. She put down her chopsticks, picked up the milk tea next to her, took a sip, and said, "This is so sweet, I don't really want to eat it anymore."
"Very sweet?" Nan Zhi frowned slightly. If she didn't like it because it was so sweet, why didn't she choose the sugar level in the first place?
Wan Ge picked up her milk tea and handed it to him, saying, "You'll know once you take a sip."
Nan Zhi looked at the straw so close to his face and felt like he had a brain fart, so he just opened his mouth.
Then the voice in my ear rang out again: He really drank it! So, does that count as an indirect kiss?
!!
Nan Zhi only snapped out of his daze after hearing her thoughts.
How could I just drink it like that? What was he thinking?!
On the surface, Wan Ge acted as if nothing had happened, as if she had just done something very ordinary, but inside she was ecstatic.
I didn't like Nan Zhi very much at first, but suddenly I felt that he wasn't so bad after all.
…
After lunch was finished and everything was tidied up, Wan Ge finally spoke up and asked, "Nan Zhi, let's go grocery shopping later. I'll cook you a big meal tonight."
He didn't actually eat much of the takeout Nan ordered, so he probably didn't like it much.
Nan Zhi initially wanted to refuse, but then her inner voice rang out: "They say the way to a person's heart is through their stomach. He might not even like my cooking!"
Perhaps wanting to know what kind of elaborate meal she could prepare, Nan Zhi finally answered "okay".
In fact, they could simply place an order on the app and have the ingredients delivered, or they could just make a phone call and have the food prepared and delivered directly.
Nan Zhi didn't expect to hear "He agreed!" after agreeing. Going out with him later, could this be considered a date in disguise?
"..." Nan Zhi was immediately silenced. Was she overthinking things?
…
It wasn't until he went out with Wan Ge and walked side by side, picking out ingredients together, that Nan Zhi suddenly realized that it did feel like a date. And it felt very real and simple.
Watching her carefully select the ingredients, the noise around her seemed to completely disappear.
It wasn't until an older woman spoke up: "Young man, could you please move aside?"
Nan Zhi then came to his senses and suddenly realized that he had been paying all his attention to Wan Ge and hadn't been able to hear what they were thinking.
So, by shifting your attention, you can avoid hearing those sounds.
Nan Zhi had just made way for someone when his hand was grabbed. Looking at Wan Ge, who was trying to pull him away, Nan Zhi spoke again: "Miss Mo, why are you walking so fast? What are you planning to do?"
"It's nothing, I just wanted to get you away from there."
That person has been watching Nan Zhi the whole time. What is she planning? Is Nan Zhi in danger? Could it be that she's trying to kidnap him?
