The President's Villainous Ex-Wife 23

Qi Ran was at a loss for what to do and decided to calm down first.

So I stayed at the company for several more days, and it felt like I was back in the days before Wan Ge got pregnant.

Qi Ran had just finished a meeting in the morning and was on his way back to the office when he suddenly discovered that he had several missed calls on his phone, all from his mother.

Just as she was about to call back, the call screen popped up again. Qi Ran pressed the answer button and asked in a cool voice, "Mom, what's wrong?"

"Aran! Come to the hospital quickly! Wange was in a car accident, it's serious, come quickly! Aran? Are you listening? Aran???"

The phone slipped directly from Qi Ran's hand. At that moment, Qi Ran's mind went blank. She immediately picked up the phone and walked towards the parking lot.

When Qi Ran rushed to the hospital, she saw her mother sitting at the entrance of the emergency room.

"How is Wan Ge doing?" Qi Ran immediately grabbed her mother's hand, her eyes filled with anxiety and worry.

"The doctor said it's not good... You need to prepare yourself mentally." It seems her son is really smitten, and not just because she's his mother.

He genuinely believed that his son's actions stemmed from the child, which is why he ignored Wan Ge after the baby's birth. But why are they having a cold war again recently?

Qi Ran sat down beside her, covering her head, her lips still deathly pale. She stood up again less than a minute after sitting down and paced around the doorway several times.

"I'm going to answer this call, you stay here." Madam Qi took her phone and left.

Qi Ran waited anxiously for several more minutes when suddenly a familiar voice rang out: "Qi Ran?"

When Qi Ran turned around, she saw a person with a bandage wrapped around their head.

"Wange!" Qi Ran immediately stepped forward and hugged her tightly.

"Why are you here?" Wan Ge asked, her eyes filled with confusion.

Qi Ran finally remembered: "Mother said you were in a car accident and were seriously injured?"

However, judging from Wan Ge's current condition, it doesn't seem to be very serious. Her complexion is perfectly normal, and although her head and hands are wrapped in gauze, she still seems to be able to move around normally...

"Huh? I'm fine... just a scratch, it's nothing serious." Wan Ge looked bewildered.

Qi Ran took another look and it didn't seem too serious: "What exactly happened?"

Although she wasn't seriously injured, seeing her bandaged body still stung Qi Ran's heart. He hadn't protected her properly… What if her injuries weren't minor? What if it really was as his mother said… What would he do then?

When he was feeling restless, he hadn't even thought about this question. Because he dared not think about it. As for what he was thinking... he could only say his mind was blank. He was panicking so much that he didn't even know what he was thinking; he only knew that he was terrified.

Wan Ge answered softly, "When I went out today, a car went out of control while I was crossing the road. I held a little boy and dodged it, but I got a minor injury."

Luckily, she reacted quickly, otherwise she and the little boy next to her might have been killed.

Qi Ran wanted to hug the person tighter, but was afraid of hurting her now that she was injured.

Wan Ge felt something wet dripping onto her neck. When she let go of him, she saw Qi Ran crying. Was this the second time she had seen him cry? The last time was when he found out that the person who had been scheming against him had gotten drunk and cried.
