The President's Villainous Ex-Wife 25

Qi Ran held Wan Ge in her arms, took a deep breath, and ultimately decided not to pursue the matter any further.

In the middle of the night, Wan Ge woke up to find herself alone. Her gaze eventually fell on the curtain. The wind stirred the curtain of the French doors; it only moved when the doors were open.

Wan Ge went outside and, sure enough, saw the person sitting on the chair on the balcony.

Qi Ran closed her eyes, seemingly asleep. Wan Ge didn't say a word, but simply turned around and went back to get a blanket.

The blanket had just been placed over him when Qi Ran opened his eyes. His clear, cold eyes held a hint of chill, but they softened considerably the moment he saw Wan Ge.

"Why did you get up?" Qi Ran asked, a hint of confusion in her eyes.

"I just woke up suddenly."

Qi Ran stood up immediately and casually placed the blanket on the chair: "It's chilly at night, let's go back to the room."

Qi Ran took Wan Ge's hand and they went back into the room.

When Wan Ge stood by the bed, she looked at the person in front of her and said, "A Ran, if you still can't accept it, we don't have to sleep in separate beds."

Anyway, they don't spend much time in the same bed in this world.

Qi Ran paused for a moment, then cupped Wan Ge's face and kissed her, before pushing her onto the bed.

While Wan Ge was dazed by the kiss, the other person's deep, husky voice whispered in her ear, "Wife, I think you've misunderstood. Before I went to sit on the balcony, I just took a cold shower. Originally... I didn't want to disturb your sleep, but since I've already disturbed you, let's do what I want to do."

He originally thought he should be a person who was indifferent to these things, or at least not very interested, so he didn't touch her for several months after she gave birth.

But after getting drunk last time, those scenes that he didn't remember very clearly resurfaced in his mind, and it seemed that as long as he was lying next to her, he couldn't help but think about them.

But his wife was already asleep, and he didn't want to disturb her rest, especially since she had just been injured. So, Qi Ran decided to take a cold shower and then sat on the balcony for a while. Perhaps he finally found peace of mind, because he fell asleep while sitting on the balcony.

After the car accident, Qi Ran would accompany Wan Ge every time she went out shopping.

Gradually, Qi Ran put down a lot of work, and when Qi Chen grew up, he simply handed over the work to him.

Qi Ran naturally took his beloved wife on the trip.

He said they had missed out on too much time together before, so now they had to make up for it.

Eighteen-year-old Qi Chen looked at the piles of documents in front of him and sighed helplessly. What could he do? He was just a tool, after all.

Ah! He also really wanted to relax; since he turned sixteen, he hadn't had regular weekends or summer and winter vacations.

Just then, there was a knock at the door. The secretary came in and said softly, "Mr. Qi, Miss Lin has arrived and is waiting for you."

"Okay." After hearing this, Qi Chen picked up a folder and went straight to the reception room.

When I opened the door, I saw a woman sitting in a chair. She had short hair, but her features were extremely delicate and beautiful.

The girl turned around and looked at the person standing in the doorway, and stood up immediately: "President Qi? Have we... met before?"

——

①Since you've already staked your whole life on this, then I'll just have to let you scheme against me for the rest of my life.

②I shouldn't have forgiven you so easily, but I just didn't want to torture each other.

③No matter what, you must stay by my side forever.
