The Trap of a Gentle Villain (Part 22)

Gu Yan's heart was filled with turmoil again. He wished that Wan Ge could always look at him like this.

It's a pity that Gu Yan can't always be by her side right now, but as long as he arranges his work, she can be by her side forever.

Gu Yan took over his family business at a young age and was extremely outstanding in his work. He liked the feeling of being busy so that he wouldn't be idle. But now he had something he should be doing, so he needed to arrange his work properly.

Gu Yan had considered giving up altogether, but he needed to maintain the status quo so that he could provide Wan Ge with a better life.

When Wan Ge heard that the other person was going to work, she felt a sense of relief for some reason. Perhaps it was because she had been working too hard these past few days. Wan Ge felt like crying.

Gu Yan hadn't originally intended to sleep with her, but after she invited him, he became completely infatuated and had been pestering her for the past few days.

After Gu Yan went to work, Wan Ge, having nothing to do, saw such a beautiful view and decided to go into the art studio to paint. As a designer, besides designing clothes, she actually knew a little about various painting techniques, let alone Wan Ge.

However, Wan Ge couldn't find the paint she wanted, so she thought she might as well go out and buy some.

As soon as she stepped out the door, two burly men suddenly stopped her: "Madam, you can't go out."

Wan Ge hasn't even said what she's going to do yet! Wait a minute! Even if she doesn't care what she's going to do, shouldn't these two people in front of her be stopping her?

And... "Was it Gu Yan who told you to do this?"

Did Gu Yan tell them not to go out? Why would he do that? Is he worried about something?

Wan Ge's first thought was that Gu Yan was worried that Shan Liang would come looking for her. Although it wasn't impossible, something just felt off.

At this moment, the butler hurriedly walked to Wan Ge's side: "Madam, what would you like to do? We can have someone do it for you."

Wan Ge originally wanted to buy some paints to paint, but a strange feeling of being under house arrest made her lose interest, and she just said "never mind".

Then she went back to her bedroom, picked up her phone but didn't want to open the game. After hesitating for a while, she sent a message to Gu Yan.

Gu Yan, who was in the middle of a meeting, suddenly received a special notification sound from his phone. Everyone immediately fell silent and looked towards Gu Yan's phone, following the sound.

Gu Yan picked up his phone and glanced at it. It was a message from his wife: "Brother Yan, why won't they let me go out?"

Gu Yan picked up his phone, walked out the door, and called Wan Ge directly.

Wan Ge didn't expect to receive his call less than half a minute after she sent the message. "Brother Ayan..."

Gu Yan's gentle voice came through the phone: "Wange, don't be angry. I'm just worried about your safety. A Liang will still come looking for you. It will be dangerous for you to go out."

“But…” Wan Ge actually knew that Shan Liang wouldn’t hurt her except for wanting to do intimate things with her.

But the person Gu Yan was in wasn't himself at all; in fact, he even developed a dislike for that other self because of Wan Ge's arrival. So he definitely didn't think that way…

"Is there anything you want, Wan Ge? I can have them go out and buy it right away."

"I just want to buy some paints. The paints in the art studio aren't what I want, but it's okay. I don't really want to paint right now. Brother Ayan, buy them for me when you come back. I'll send you the colors."
