The villain is omnipotent. (15, 16, 17, 18)

"Cough cough cough!" Xu Yan coughed as soon as Wan Ge finished speaking.

Wan Ge panicked for a moment. She was just saying it because she saw that he wasn't concentrating on eating. Could he have really choked on a thorn?

While cooking, I noticed that this fish didn't have many small bones; they were all quite large, so I figured it shouldn't be difficult to get a bone stuck in my throat.

Xu Yan smiled slightly: "I knew my wife still cares about me."

Wan Ge snorted coldly, then spoke again: "Tell me, what did you mean by what you said to Grandpa that day?"

"When? What did I say to Grandpa?" Xu Yan was completely bewildered, then finally realized that Wan Ge's recent reactions to him were indeed related to visiting Grandpa, right? He knew something must have happened for his wife to be acting this way.

“I overheard your conversation that night,” Wan Ge said directly.

That night, Xu Yan thought back for a moment. He had a very good memory, so he instantly remembered what happened that night.

“Grandpa said I would die,” Wan Ge said again, then waited for an explanation.

"How could that be? You won't die. I would never hurt you," Xu Yan replied earnestly.

"So what exactly is it? What do you mean by saying you would never hurt me?" Wan Ge asked him again.

Xu Yan then began to explain to her.

Wan Ge finally understood the whole story. In fact, Xu Yan went up the mountain not because he was unwell.

But he is indeed ill, though it is a mental illness.

Xu Yan showed a very extreme and biased personality from a very young age, and seeing many psychologists at that time had no effect.

Just when the Xu family was at a loss, a friend of Grandpa Xu gave him a suggestion: let Xu Yan try staying by his side.

Aside from his stubborn moments, Xu Yan has a relatively good personality. His master is very patient in teaching him, and because he has learned a lot on the mountain and is quite self-reliant, perhaps when he is busy, he doesn't overthink things or have as many worries.

Xu Yan's personality gradually became more and more stable. Until last year, his master felt that he could go down the mountain and go home, which led to his blind date with Wan Ge.

Xu Yan went up the mountain not to recuperate from illness, but to cultivate his character and temperament.

As it turns out, when nothing major happens, Xu Yan's emotions are exceptionally stable, even unusually so.

Until this time, when Wan Ge broke up with him, Xu Yan was once again provoked, and the paranoia he had suppressed for so many years surfaced.

What Grandpa was actually talking about was this very thing that he was so obsessed with.

When he was a child, he hurt others and himself because of this incident. His grandfather was really worried that if something happened in the future, Xu Yan might become so obsessed that he would hurt Wan Ge. That's why they had that conversation that day.

Looking at Xu Yan in front of her, Wan Ge thought, "Very good. Such a gentle and refined husband, now she's brought out his obsessive side. It's really... too exciting."

"Why didn't you leave?" Xu Yan asked, looking at Wan Ge in front of him.

The boat was docked at the pier, and Wange could leave if she wanted. The boat wasn't difficult to operate; Wange had driven before, and a smart girl like her could easily try to steer it away.

"I promised you I wouldn't leave, and I won't leave."

"Then why did you knock me out?" If she wasn't planning to leave, why did she knock him out in the first place?

"You have dark circles under your eyes, you must not have slept well, so I'll help you out." Wan Ge was careful with her actions; she knew very well that this wouldn't hurt him much, it would only make him unconscious for a while.

"It's good that you didn't leave." Xu Yan hugged him again.

Wan Ge simply hummed in response, then gently pushed the man away, and finally fastened the shackles she had just removed onto his other, uninjured foot.

Xu Yan glanced at it again: "Wife?"

“Punishment,” Wan Ge said calmly.

Xu Yan knew he was in the wrong, so he didn't argue when he heard her say that. As long as his wife was happy, he could do whatever she wanted as long as she wasn't angry anymore.

Seeing that he had stopped struggling, Wan Ge smiled with satisfaction.

Now that the misunderstanding has been cleared up, and Wange knows that there was no supernatural event and that her grandfather's worry was due to his personality, then it's all over.

"Honey...does that mean we're back together now?" They haven't really broken up, right?

Wan Ge hummed in agreement again.

Xu Yan was overjoyed at the single word of affirmation.

"So what do we do now?" Xu Yan looked at Wan Ge, unsure of what to do next.

Wan Ge cupped his face and kissed him directly, then pushed him down.

After washing the sheets stained with the blood of the two men, Xu Yan obediently put his shackles back on, lay back down on the bed, hugged his wife, and then fell asleep.

When Xu Yan woke up, no one was by his bedside again, but he heard sounds outside the balcony, as if Wan Ge was on the phone.

"I'm sorry, manager, I will transfer all my work to Jiang Qin. Um... I've confirmed, I'm leaving. I'm sorry it happened so suddenly, I didn't even have time to tell you. Okay... okay... goodbye then."

When Wan Ge hung up the phone and turned around, she saw that the person on the bed had woken up and was looking at her with a smile.

Wan Ge stepped into the house with the sea breeze, then walked to his side: "You're awake? Did you steal my keys last night?"
