The villain is someone with immense power.

"It's alright." Mu Zhuochen looked down at the pen that had been broken in two. Then he looked up at Wan Ge.

Wan Ge felt a chill run down her spine. Why did the Imperial Uncle's gaze suddenly turn cold? And what did he mean by looking at that broken pen? Did he want to be cut in two like it?

Wan Ge instinctively covered her waist, hoping she wouldn't be split in two.

Ever since Wan Ge brought up the talent show, it was obvious that Mu Zhuochen had become much colder towards her all day.

Wan Ge felt a little worried: Did he really think that he wanted to consolidate power?

Which minister doesn't know that he's a puppet emperor? It's unlikely that any powerful minister would send his beloved daughter into the palace; the daughters sent would probably be illegitimate or from humble families.

Under the bright moonlight, the guards watched Mu Zhuochen, who was still acting cheekily in the courtyard. The prince seemed to be in a bad mood today.

The prince used to never show his emotions, but lately he's really been driven mad by His Majesty's anger? Our prince is having such a hard time, having to worry about so many things, and also about the young emperor.

The guards became increasingly curious about how the young emperor had angered the prince and how he could have driven the prince to such a state.

Mu Zhuochen practiced swordsmanship without stopping until dawn, when he finally collapsed on the ground, exhausted.

As dawn approaches, the evening stars and moon in the sky dim, is this the darkest moment?

As the stars gradually disappeared and white light appeared on the horizon, he did not get up. It wasn't until dewdrops from the leaves fell onto his delicate and beautiful cheeks that Mu Zhuochen finally rose from the ground.

After returning home, he took a bath, changed into new clothes, and once again became the spirited regent.

Looking at Mu Zhuochen's stunningly beautiful face, the guards felt inferior. How could someone who had practiced swordsmanship all night without sleep seem to be fully rejuvenated after just taking a bath?

Mu Zhuochen had a faint smile on his lips. Good things were going well as always. First, he went to the palace to attend court, and then he followed the young emperor to continue processing memorials.

Although it's unclear what exactly happened, or if Mu Zhuochen calmed down and covered himself up again after a night, it's still unclear.

But I have to say that without that cold atmosphere, the evening songs felt much better.

For the next few days, Wan Ge handled government affairs with Mu Zhuochen in a seemingly close but actually distant manner.

Wan Ge didn't know what Mu Zhuochen was thinking, but he was really taking her very seriously in handling things. He really seemed to be grooming her as his successor.

However, Wan Ge remained unreliable, as if she would slack off if Mu Zhuochen didn't urge her on.

Wan Ge once again slumped onto the table and fell asleep immediately. Perhaps she had gradually gotten used to Mu Zhuochen and knew that he wouldn't make a move at this time, so Wan Ge was no longer afraid or nervous. Now she could genuinely fall asleep on it.

Looking at the other person's long, curly eyelashes and delicate skin, Mu Zhuochen couldn't help but reach out his hand.

That night, he actually figured it out. He knew his feelings were absurd and he was certain of his own heart, but he also knew very well that these feelings could never be expressed or spoken.

So this is good too. He stays by Wan Ge's side, not going anywhere else, just being with Wan Ge.

Mu Zhuochen thought: Even just sitting in front of him like this is enough.
