Qing'an nodded obediently and said to the headmistress, "Thank you, Auntie."
Hearing his voice, the dean couldn't help but soften and patted his head again: "Good boy."
The dean told Mr. Gu that although they knew Qing'an's parents had died in a car accident, they had not found much information about them, so Qing'an did not have a surname and was always called Qing'an.
If Grandpa Gu wants to adopt him, Qing'an can take his surname in the future.
Grandpa Gu didn't really care about that, but he was still very happy that his newly adopted grandson was willing to take his surname.
After obtaining Qing'an's consent, they changed his name to Gu Qing'an and had him live with them.
Seeing that they had completely reached an agreement, the boy standing to the side had already shed tears, his eyes red and swollen. He pitifully walked to the headmistress's side, looked up at her, and said, "Auntie Headmistress..."
It was only then that the dean realized that he had been talking to them and had completely forgotten about the child that Mr. Gu originally wanted to raise.
The dean immediately squatted down, looked at the child in front of him, and hugged him: "I'm sorry, Xun, this grandpa can't take you home, but it's okay. Our Xun is so obedient and good-looking. If you want, there will be many people who want to take you home."
The dean's words are true; if Ye Xun had wanted to, he would have found an adoptive family long ago.
Unfortunately, Ye Xun didn't like many people who wanted to adopt him before, and didn't seem to be very interested in them, or even give them a second glance.
Only this one, from the moment she first told him, Ye Xun seemed very interested. But no one expected that the young lady didn't take a liking to Ye Xun, but instead took a liking to the taciturn Qing An.
Because of his personality, even though many people initially wanted to adopt Qing'an because of his good looks, they all gave up the idea after learning about his personality.
Now that there's someone to choose from, the dean is naturally more willing to grant Qing'an's wish, since it wouldn't be difficult for Ye Xun to find a new good family.
Ye Xun then turned his gaze to the girl standing in front of him. He knew very well that if the girl was willing, he could go home with them.
Unfortunately, Wan Ge wouldn't even glance at him.
Ye Xun was particularly unwilling, and a hint of resentment appeared in his eyes, but he hid it very well.
Wan Ge actually sensed it, but when she looked at him, he acted as if nothing had happened. He was truly a person who hid himself very well.
…
And so, Wan Ge took Qing An back to her home.
When Qing'an followed her home, his gaze didn't wander at all, and he seemed to have no curiosity whatsoever, as if nothing in front of him could arouse any interest.
Wan Ge really disliked his indifferent attitude towards life and death, as if there was nothing in this world worth his attachment.
Seeing him like this, she felt heartbroken and distressed, so when they got home, Wan Ge hugged him tightly again.
Qing'an was taken aback when the other person suddenly hugged her, but she silently hugged her back.
Wan Ge gently rubbed her face against his: "Are you unhappy? Don't you want to come home with me?"
