What he wants is freedom and respect.

Wan Ge arrives in a world with two male protagonists: the first and second male protagonists, and the antagonist's mother, representing three different perspectives.

The male lead's mother comes from a scholarly family with a long history, and he received a rather old-fashioned and conservative education from a young age. He is firmly opposed to same-sex love; rather than disliking it, he feels disgust.

The mother of the second male lead neither likes nor dislikes this aspect. She cares more about what her child thinks. She respects all of her child's ideas and supports him in doing whatever he wants as long as he does not break the law.

The villain's mother was born into a wealthy family, but her parents were too busy to do anything else, so they allowed her to do whatever she wanted. From a very young age, she often read romance novels about two boys or listened to radio dramas.

After that, she became convinced that the love between two boys was true love, and nothing else could compare. She not only supported it, but she also had extreme thoughts; she only wanted to see the relationship between two boys.

Although she got married and had children for various reasons, she wholeheartedly supported her husband coming out as gay, even though he had never had such thoughts.

Seeing that her husband wasn't doing well, she instilled in him from a young age the idea that he must be with boys, and even forbade him from having any contact with girls.

I don't know if the male lead and the villain were too repressed. The male lead doesn't like girls at all, and the villain is already disgusted with contact with boys.

In this world, Wan Ge's identity is the male protagonist's fiancée.

Despite having the title of fiancée, the male lead, Xiao Shuyu, has always disagreed with the marriage. However, Xiao Shuyu's family kept the fact that he had someone he liked a secret from both him and Wan Ge's family, and the engagement was arranged between the two families.

Wan Ge looked at the person in the formal attire in front of her. Tonight was the engagement banquet between the original owner and Xiao Shuyu.

The original owner had a good impression of Xiao Shuyu, who was so handsome, and she found out that he had no scandals, so she was even more satisfied with him. Little did she know that he already had someone he liked.

Xiao Shuyu is younger than Yan Cangyue, and all their relationships started with him taking the initiative.

Xiao Shuyu really liked Yan Cangyue, but she was still too young. Some of her actions only made her family dislike Yan Cangyue more and oppose their relationship. In the end, this put Yan Cangyue in a very awkward position.

In the end, the two male protagonists died for love, and the villain was forced by his mother to die young and depressed.

It's not like Wan Ge hasn't had storylines where the main characters don't have a good ending, but for some reason, the plot of this world feels a bit suffocating. The actions of Xiao Shuyu's mother and the villain Chu Mu'en's mother are particularly suffocating.

Both mothers attempted suicide to force their children to obey, and both continued to complain about their children's disobedience even after they had passed away.

Yan Cangyue came from a single-parent family. His mother originally gave all her love to her child, but after the child left, she also left due to excessive grief.

Wan Ge knew that the engagement banquet tonight could not be held, and that Xiao Shuyu would cause a scene at the banquet, making the relationship between the two families extremely strained, and also making his mother completely disgusted with Yan Cangyue, and begin to use various methods to force the children to break up.

Wan Ge was standing at the top of the stairs, which caused someone to slip and fall down the stairs.
