What he wants is freedom and respect.

Chu Mu'en remained silent for a long time without answering. He had been instilled with the idea that he should never lie since he was a child, and he was not good at lying, nor did he like it.

Faced with this question, he instinctively chose to remain silent.

His silence made Madam Chu immediately understand the situation: "It's a girl, isn't it! What did your mother tell you? Not to have contact with girls, why don't you listen?"

Hearing the other party's angry question, Chu Mu'en's temper also flared up: "But I don't like boys at all. I just like Wan Ge. Father has agreed, so why can't you agree?"

"There is no true love between the two of you. Don't make such a hasty decision on a whim."

Chu Mu'en didn't want to listen anymore. He said that there was no such thing as true love between men and women. Chu Mu'en didn't know how many times he had heard this since he was a child.

Chu Mu'en hung up the phone and then turned it off.

Chu Mu'en got up and subconsciously wanted to look for Wan Ge, but there was no sign of her in the room.

When I opened the door, I saw several cleaning ladies and someone instructing them.

When the housekeeper saw that Chu Mu'en was awake, she went straight to him and said, "Hello, Young Master Chu, you're awake. We've prepared breakfast for you. Would you like to have some now?"

"Wan Ge?" Chu Mu'en didn't answer whether he wanted to have breakfast first, but was eager to find his lover.

The housekeeper immediately replied, "Miss Chu has already gone to work. Please have breakfast first, and I'll have the driver take you there later."

When Chu Mu'en heard that Wan Ge had already gone to work, he couldn't hide his disappointment. He could only nod slightly when he heard what his aunt said.

Before leaving, the aunt gave him an access card for the president's private elevator, telling him that with this card he could directly use the president's private elevator without anyone stopping him.

Chu Mu'en said thank you and couldn't wait to see Wan Ge.

The journey wasn't far, but it was rush hour, and traffic jams were inevitable in such a busy area. Although Chu Mu'en missed her lover dearly, she wasn't particularly impatient at the moment.

But when he entered the CEO's office and still didn't see her, he couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment.

Seeing that the other person had the president's access card, the assistant knew that the other person must be someone special. Looking at the dejected young man, she lowered her voice and said to him seriously, "Hello sir, President Gong is in a meeting right now. Please wait here for her. What would you like to drink?"

"No need, thank you. I'll just wait for him here." Chu Mu'en didn't want to drink anything right now; he just wanted to see Wan Ge, but Wan Ge hadn't shown up yet.

Upon hearing his words, the assistant didn't say much, simply replying "okay" before leaving.

The access card he had included many special features, meaning that the CEO wouldn't be on guard against him, so it wouldn't matter if he was alone in the CEO's office.

After her assistant left, Chu Mu'en looked around her work environment. The office was very different from her home; the color scheme and furnishings were clean and uncluttered. There weren't a single photograph in the office, but there were many books and numerous documents.
