Would you like a bowl of soup, Your Majesty?

"You promised me before that you would allow me to reincarnate after I've served for a thousand years. I've already been brewing soup for a thousand years, shouldn't I retire and be reincarnated?" Wan Ge slammed his hand on the table in front of Yama, the King of Hell.

The King of Hell turned his gaze to her and said in a cold voice, "You've done a pretty good job. Reincarnating into the human world means experiencing all the hardships of life. Don't you really want to consider continuing to be a ghost messenger?"

"No need to think about it anymore. I'm absolutely certain that I want to be reincarnated."

Hearing Wan Ge speak like this, Yama sighed helplessly: "Alright then, drink this bowl of Meng Po soup and you can be reincarnated."

After saying that, a bowl of soup appeared in Yama's hand. The white porcelain bowl contained a brightly colored soup, something that Wan Ge had been most familiar with for the past thousand years.

Wan Ge reached out and took the soup from her hand, but stopped abruptly just as she was about to drink it: "Wait, why does this scene feel so familiar?"

After saying that, a scene suddenly appeared in my mind, as if it had happened a thousand years ago.

A thousand years ago, she also completed a thousand years of service and was extremely happy to come to Yama, the King of Hell, to resign.

Back then, the tone wasn't as impatient as it is now. People were still very respectful to King Yama, and the process was all normal, until he brought out a bowl of Meng Po soup.

She drank it directly, but instead of being reincarnated, she was greeted by Yama, the King of Hell, who said, "You've arrived. From today onwards, you are the new Meng Po."

So she brewed the soup for another thousand years.

Wan Ge finally understood why her tone was so impatient; it turned out to be because of this.

Wan Ge immediately knocked over the bowl in her hand: "I remember everything. You said the same thing a thousand years ago, that if I drank this bowl of Meng Po soup, I would be reincarnated. But after I drank the Meng Po soup, I didn't remember anything, and you told me that I was the new Meng Po."

The King of Hell seemed somewhat surprised that she could still remember. He wondered if it was because he had cooked too much soup. But whatever the reason, now that she remembered, there was no need for him to hide it from her.

"It's not that I don't want you to reincarnate, it's that you really can't reincarnate?"

"Why? Just because I have outstanding work skills?"

King Yama shook his head. Although the other party was indeed very capable, it wasn't for that reason: "You still carry the burden of karma, which you haven't been able to eliminate yet. If things continue like this, you'll probably have to stay for another three thousand years to eliminate the karma."

"What! You mean I have to keep simmering this soup for another three thousand years?"

Yama nodded again, and seeing that the other party looked like he wanted to hit someone, he continued, "However, I know another solution."

"What method?"

"Look here." After Yama finished speaking, a large mirror appeared in front of the two of them, and in the mirror was a young man practicing martial arts.

The King of Hell spoke slowly in his cold voice: "The one you see now is the God of Moonlight. He was born with the power of primordial chaos, and everything about him is closely related to all things in the world."

This is a mortal trial, but before he turns twenty, he faces several life-threatening ordeals. Only by surviving his twentieth birthday can he enjoy smooth sailing and peace afterward, thus safely overcoming these tribulations.
