When it was time to pay the bill, Dou Shiliu carried a large pile of things upstairs, while Luo Qingchun had already quietly left to avoid causing any chaos later.
I liked the photographer following Dou Shiliu around; he carried almost everything.
Luo Qingchun waited patiently for Dou Shiliu in the garage. When they arrived, she opened the trunk and put all the things in with the photographer.
Luo Qingchun said a sweet thank you to him, and the photographer seemed a little unsteady on his feet.
Dou Shiliu was driving and chatted with her for a few minutes inside the car.
"Besides filming this show, what else have you been doing lately?"
Luo Qingchun blinked, listened to Dou Shiliu's question, and said with a grin, "Let's film the show now?"
"What will you do next after this is over?"
Luo Qingchun: "Making money."
Dou Shiliu: "Besides making money"
Luo Qingchun: "I don't want to do anything else, I just want to make money."
Dou Shiliu naturally knew why Luo Qingchun wanted to make money. She smiled, a hint of amusement in her eyes, and said, "Why make money? Don't you have enough money to earn it all?"
Luo Qingchun gave her a strange look. If she hadn't asked for such an exorbitant amount, would she have come back to work so hard to earn money?
However, facing the camera, Luo Qingchun casually said, "The money I hand over to the country is unusually high, and then there are my own expenses, which take up most of my time, so I have to work hard to earn money."
Dou Shiliu was steering the car, listening to Luo Qingchun talk. Dou Shiliu completely understood what Luo Qingchun meant by her little look.
Dou Shiliu pursed his lips, casually complimented Luo Qingchun, and then remained silent.
They arrived home half an hour later, and the two girls busied themselves carrying all their belongings.
"Why did I have to buy such a big house?" Luo Qingchun's hands were sore from holding it, and she shook her numb hands.
Dou Shiliu remained calm and silent, simply carrying the load quietly.
After Luo Qingchun and Dou Shiliu finished moving, Luo Qingchun twisted her wrist and said to Dou Shiliu, "Baby, I have to go out for a bit."
"Okay, go ahead."
After tidying herself up, Luo Qingchun went out.
After Dou Shiliu finished what he was doing here, he also finished what needed to be done. He looked around and saw that there was nothing left to do.
It's only 9 o'clock, very early. The sun is shining a little outside. Dou Shiliu, who hasn't seen the sun in a long time, feels like going out to see the scenery and soak up some sunshine.
Dou Shiliu opened the door and went out. She took a small bag to put her phone in, so that her access card could be easily put in and carried with her.
The warm sunlight shone down on Dou Shiliu's fair skin, making it appear almost transparent, as beautiful as a newly blossoming jade.
These are the houses of some residents in the ancient town, and many flowers are climbing on the walls of the houses.
If only time could slow down...
"Slow enough for me to keep up with the pace of health..."
"Slow enough that I can laugh healthily..."
"Slow enough for me to have a happy wedding..."
"Slow enough for me to care for my parents in their old age and see them off in their final days..."
A guitar melody drifted out, and Dou Shiliu stopped in his tracks, turning to look at a small, detached balcony.
His gaze fell on the girl who was playing and singing with a guitar. Her narrow eyes were filled with sorrow and deep-seated pain.
With a flick of his fingertips, several strings were plucked, and Dou Shiliu was stunned. He looked up and stared at the girl who was gazing into the distance.
The wind caressed her cheek, and a tear welled up in the corner of her eye…
If only time could slow down...
"So slow that I can savor a hundred flavors of the world..."
"Slow enough for me to take another look at the world..."
"Slow enough that I can still smile and say goodbye to you..."
The simple lyrics floated leisurely from the girl's lips, lively yet carrying an indescribable sorrow.
"If only time could slow down..."
"Could you go a little slower..."
"Could you go a little slower..."
"This world is filled with unspeakable suffering..."
"I still love you... I adore you... I can't bear to part with you..."
The guitar strings stopped playing, the girl wiped away her tears, and went inside with her guitar.
Dou Shiliu stood below, her head held high. She moved slightly, raised her hand to touch her face, and there was clearly a tear on her fingertip.
Dou Shiliu felt a slight, silent pain in her heart, a slight feeling of suffocation. The tear on her fingertip wasn't hers.
Suddenly, the teardrop instantly turned into a water droplet. Dou Shiliu carefully placed it down and looked up at the small balcony, where a gentle breeze blew through the lush green grass and trees.
With an empty loneliness, a sense of coldness
It evoked a strange sense of melancholy and made me want to cry.
Bai Tuan sensed the change in Dou Shiliu's mindset: "What's wrong, host?"
Dou Shiliu indifferently withdrew his gaze, looked at the light to the side, reached out and touched it.
The intense, warm sunlight dispelled some of the gloom in people's hearts.
Bai Tuan didn't know why Dou Shiliu's emotions were so unstable.
Dou Shiliu looked at the balcony with pity in her eyes; she couldn't hold back anymore.
Dou Shiliu went straight to the house on the balcony, turned around and went inside, then knocked on the door.
Hello, who are you looking for?
The woman who opened the door had gray hair and the marks of time and hard work around her eyes.
Dou Shiliu felt a pang of sadness. She pursed her lips and, through the crack, saw the girl in the courtyard, her eyes lowered as she carefully rubbed the strings of her zither. The indifference between her brows was unreadable.
"Who are you looking for?" the woman asked again, puzzled.
Dou Shiliu suddenly felt a little cowardly; she didn't dare to go in. Suddenly, the girl in the narrow crevice raised her head, her lifeless eyes meeting hers.
Dou Shiliu fled in panic, returned home, went straight upstairs, and lay down on the bed.
The white ball was truly terrified.
Dou Shiliu cried in bed, tears streaming down her face.
The white ball flew out of the space and asked, "Host, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"
The White Team has never seen Dou Shiliu cry for others for the sake of the cannon fodder, it's truly shocking and unbelievable.
Dou Shiliu lowered his voice, his mind filled with the girl's ashen eyes, like a drowning bird, making him feel utterly depressed.
What's wrong? What happened to her?
She didn't know; she just wanted to cry. She felt sorry for the girl, but what had happened to her? She didn't know either.
If only time could slow down...
"Will I see the final thing I wanted to see...?"
Unconsciously, she hummed a lyric that the girl had never sung before, and Dou Shiliu's eyes fell into an empty void.
A drowning person can never be saved; the last straw is swallowed up before it can even sprout.
