Chapter 449 The Space Pirate's Mother

After a hearty meal, Nikas was clearly a little drunk, and Song Ye's eyes were also somewhat blurry. Song Xia helped them lie down on the sofa, where the two of them often slept in the past.

“Master…” Song Ye couldn’t help but hug Song Xia’s arm, feeling an unusual sense of security.

Song Xia gently patted the back of his hand, the steady rhythm quickly lulling him into a deep sleep. Looking at his sleeping face, Song Xia felt even more heartache.

Don't be fooled by how glamorous this kid seems now; who knows how many dangers he's faced to get there? The Fog Sea Pirates don't tolerate idlers; if you want a voice, you have to risk your life.

“Master, I knew you favored him the most.” Nikas woke up at some point and watched this scene with a smile.

Song Xia was slightly startled, but quickly recovered: "Wasn't Master good to you?"

"Alright, but I feel that you treat Song Ye a little differently."

"Perhaps it's because he looks a bit like my child, but in terms of training and care for you, your master has never shown any favoritism."

"I must say, Song Ye's eyes do resemble yours somewhat."

"Now that you're awake, would you like to go to your room to sleep?"

"No, thank you." Nikas stood up. "I'm not like Song Ye, who is detached from worldly desires. I have an appointment today, and a beauty is waiting for me."

Song Xia said irritably, "You're still young, so you should restrain yourself."

“Master,” Nikas hugged her and replied with a grin, “You don’t understand. If you don’t enjoy life when you’re young, you won’t have the ability to enjoy it when you’re old.”

"You're never serious in front of me, get lost."

"Dele." He even saluted like a federal soldier, then quickly closed the door before Song Xia could make a move.

Nicas, familiar with the place, arrived at a brightly lit bar. It was late at night, but the place was still bustling with activity. Many beautiful women were giving him flirty glances. He went to a booth, and everyone made room for him.

"Why are you so late?"

Nikas sat down and immediately offered three cups of apology wine: "I ate at my master's place and rested for a while."

"Song Ye didn't come with you."

"You all know he doesn't like these kinds of occasions."

Someone complained, "They're all pirates, yet they act like he's some kind of nobleman. Anyone who didn't know better would think he's a spy sent in by the Federation."

"What are you talking about?" Nikas slammed the cup in front of him. "Who do you think you are to talk about Song Ye? Are you more accomplished than him? He's my brother."

"What kind of bullshit brothers are you, Nikas? You're just relying on your crappy internal skills, what's so great about that? I heard your master wants to run for vice commander. What merits has she made? She'll definitely be eliminated this time. Just wait to be ridiculed."

Nikas's eyes were deep, and the people around him quickly pulled him back: "Don't listen to this kid's nonsense, he's just drunk too much. Nikas, let's do our thing, Anna will be here in a bit."

"What nonsense did I say? Everyone knows that you and your master don't even kill ordinary people, and you keep promoting some kind of humanitarian policy. We are pirates, not law-abiding federal citizens. We don't need her to educate us."

"Huo, shut up and apologize to Nikas right now."

“I’m not apologizing. What did I say wrong? His master, Xia Song, doesn’t deserve his current status and treatment.”

"Bang." Nikas threw a punch directly. "I'll use my fists to show you whether you're worthy or not. What are you, daring to question my master?"

“Nikas, today I’m going to prove to everyone that what kind of internal energy you’ve been practicing is nothing but bullshit. Do you think everyone respects you because of your strength? It’s only because of your father.”

The two started fighting, but it was clear that the man named Huo was no match for Nikas and was quickly overwhelmed by him.

"Snap!" However, this man was cunning and suddenly found himself carrying a weapon.

When everyone saw the bloody hole in Nikas's shoulder, they instantly lost all sympathy for Huo. If Nikas hadn't dodged quickly, it wouldn't have been his shoulder that had the bloody hole, but his head. Compared to themselves, everyone turned pale; they didn't have Nikas's quick reaction speed.

So when Nikas threw another punch at Huo, no one stopped him; instead, they felt Huo deserved it.

Meanwhile, Hu Ao was sobered up by the beating, and he kept begging for mercy, but to no avail.

"Alright." A helpless voice sounded beside Nikas. "Your shoulder is still bleeding; you need to go to the hospital for treatment."

"Anna, it's good that you're here." Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, fearing that Nikas would kill Huo. It wasn't that Huo shouldn't have died, but if he died here, it would be troublesome for them as his companions.

Anna helped Nikas up. She was a full head shorter than Nikas, but she wasn't thin. On the contrary, she was tall among the women, and you could vaguely see the strength hidden in her muscles in her arms and legs. However, she looked a bit petite standing next to Nikas.

She was Nikas's old flame and ran the bar. Because of her, Nikas didn't throw a punch, but instead warned Huo: "Don't let me see you again, or I'll beat you every time I see you."

Hu Ao nodded quickly in agreement, but his lowered eyes were filled with resentment.

"Should I inform Teacher Xia?"

"No need. Master was also angered by an idiot today. He made dinner for me and Song Ye tonight, and he's probably asleep now."

Anna laughed at him, "You weren't this angry when someone slandered your father before."

Nikas was silent for a moment: "This is different."

Anna just smiled. What she didn't say was that the first batch of students trained by their master were different from the other pirates. In the later batches, there were quite a few who were loyal to Xia Song. She was really curious about what kind of magic Xia Song had that made them, the students, support him so much.

"Forget about that. You and Song Ye both came back because your master is running for vice commander?"

"Um."

"So, your other junior brothers and sisters should be going back soon too?"

“That’s right. In a couple of days, could you please make room for us? It’s been a long time since we, the fellow apprentices, have gotten together.”

"It's rare to see you begging me. Even Song Ye has come?"

"If everyone comes, he will come. Those men and women who have designs on him should not be allowed to get close."

"I wonder if I'll ever have the chance to meet your master. I'm really curious."

Nikas didn't immediately agree: "Let's wait for another opportunity."

After saying that, he added, "My master has been very busy lately, so I wanted to find a formal and appropriate occasion to introduce you to each other."

Anna smiled slightly at him. Everyone thought Nikas was just playing around with her, but she knew that Nikas was only superficially frivolous and concerned with saving face. He was serious about her, so she was really curious about what kind of magic Xia Song, Nikas's master, possessed. The other pirates were not like Nikas and his fellow disciples, who were responsible for the women in the bar.
