Chapter 50 The Mother Driven Mad

Zhang Yuefen considered not taking Zuo Shan's dirty money, so she planned to go find Lingling. After all, she was her own granddaughter, how could she watch her grandmother live a hard life? She had taken care of her for a while, so she could just give her some help.

She thought it was perfectly justified, but completely forgot how she used to abuse people, deliberately feeding them allergenic foods, threatening them not to complain or tattle, and intentionally suppressing their natural instincts. She was more like an enemy than a loving grandmother.

Fortunately, Song Xia had taken precautions. She not only moved house but also transferred Lingling to another school. After several fruitless attempts, Zhang Yuefen lost interest in the matter.

After all, Xie Tianci was getting more and more into trouble, and she had no choice but to clean up his messes.

Previously, with Zuo Shan watching over him, Xie Yuan keeping him in check, and the best school and teachers supervising him, even though Zhang Yuefen and Xie Chuancai spoiled him, they couldn't see Xie Tianci's spoiled nature.

Now only Zuo Shan and Zhang Yuefen are left. Zuo Shan is busy coaxing Chi Jie and has no time to educate him. So Zhang Yuefen is left alone. She already dotes on her grandson, and now that the conditions are getting worse, she feels even more sorry for Xie Tianci. So she indulges him in every way, which makes Xie Tianci more and more domineering and unreasonable.

Everyone in the neighborhood knows the names of the grandfather and grandson. If anything bad happens, Xie Tianci is the first person suspected, so people often come knocking on their door.

She was not someone to be trifled with. If someone had evidence, she would politely apologize, but if there was no clear evidence, she would start throwing a tantrum and cursing at people. Many people around her had their entire families cursed by her.

The consequence of this was that the grandmother and grandson were isolated by everyone. Zhang Yuefen didn't think anything of it. She just kept Xie Tianci by her side. To prevent Xie Tianci from making trouble, she bought him whatever he wanted. If he didn't have money, he would go to Zuo Shan for it.

Eight years later, Xie Tianci had been fed by Zhang Yuefen into a fat man who didn't like sports or socializing, and only liked to stay at home playing video games. Needless to say, his academic performance was terrible. If it weren't for the fact that people can't be expelled during compulsory education, the school would have expelled him long ago.

In recent years, he has harmed many teachers, often making them cry, and he also likes to harass female students in the class. Even when parents complain, it is useless.

After all, Zhang Tianci was still young, and what he did was not enough to warrant arrest. Furthermore, Zhang Yuefen liked to cause trouble at the school and would complain at the slightest dissatisfaction, making her notorious even known in the Education Bureau.

If you can't afford to offend him, can't you at least avoid him? Nobody at school plays with him, and the teachers don't care about his grades. No matter how much Zhang Yuefen causes trouble, doesn't everyone listen to the lessons in class? Aren't all homework assignments the same for everyone? It's your child who isn't listening or doing the homework; how can you blame others for that?

Enraged, Zhang Yuefen threatened, "With your teaching attitude, if my grandson ever becomes successful, he won't even write on his resume that he studied at your school."

The principal and teachers were almost dying of laughter, but they couldn't say anything. So, another parent nearby mocked, "Come on, if you ask me, it's a miracle your grandson doesn't end up in jail."

Because her husband and son were in jail, Zhang Yuefen was particularly sensitive about this, and immediately tried to hit someone: "Bullshit!"

The woman's husband stood in front of her, sneering, "Don't think I won't dare to lay a hand on you just because you're an old man. You try it and see!"

"You're bullying me! I'm going to file a complaint against you!"

"Go ahead and complain. Let's see where you can complain to. The teachers didn't do anything. The school is really unlucky to have to teach this little rascal Xie Tianci. But you won't be arrogant for long. Let's see if he gets a high school admission."

Zhang Yuefen put her hands on her hips and pouted, saying, "When my son comes back, I will naturally send Tianci abroad to study. He won't be like you poor scholars who just study to death."

The parents laughed even more exaggeratedly: "Sending them abroad? With your family's financial situation, do you even have the means to send them overseas?"

"Speaking of which, I've never met your son before. Why are you suddenly saying you're coming back? Did he go abroad to work illegally, or are you going to jail and about to be released?"

"There's no point in talking to this kind of person. They just talk big. If they really had the money to go abroad, they would have gone to a private school long ago."

"Besides, even if he goes abroad, will Xie Tianci understand what foreigners are saying? Foreign countries are not like China. If Xie Tianci is still this bad, he might get shot."

"Old woman, I'm waiting for your good news, to see how successful your grandson will be in the future."

Zhang Yuefen glared angrily at these people, as if she wanted to etch their faces into her bones and take revenge later, but they were not afraid of her and let her be arrogant.

“We’re going home, and your dad should be back in the next few days.”

While eating a grilled sausage, Xie Tianci asked with excited eyes, "Is my dad really that rich?"

"Of course it's true. When has Grandma ever lied to you?"

"With the money, I'll first buy the best phone, because my current phone lags a bit when playing games. Then I'll go to the most luxurious buffet, with lobster and king crab, I'll eat my fill."

"Buy it, Grandma will have your dad buy whatever you want. What's a buffet? We can even fly abroad to eat it." Zhang Yuefen said indulgently. She felt very sorry for her grandsons, who originally had all these things, but it was all thanks to those two damned women, Song Xia and Zuo Shan.

"Grandma, does my mom know that Dad is coming back soon?"

Mentioning Zuo Shan, Zhang Yuefen sneered. She never expected that woman to be so shameless, actually seducing Chi Jie for money, who was Xiao Yuan's cousin!

Moreover, in order to gain entry into the inner circle, she boldly became pregnant with Chi Jie's child. She will always remember the look on her sister's face when she came to make a scene and called her a slut.

She actually said it was her doing? Does she even care about Chi Jie's little bit of money? Only Zuo Shan is shameless.

"Don't mention your mother. She doesn't deserve to use your father's money," Zhang Yuefen said irritably.

Xie Tianci was unhappy: "That's my mother, you're not allowed to say that."

"You're still protecting her, but she doesn't care about you at all. Now she's focused on taking care of your half-brother."

"I'm ignoring you." Xie Tianci pushed Zhang Yuefen away. His feelings for Zuo Shan were complicated. On the one hand, he hated that his mother had a younger brother with someone else, but on the other hand, every time his mother came to see him, she would bring him a lot of things and give him money.

He ran home angrily and slammed the door shut, refusing to open it no matter what promises Zhang Yuefen made.

"What a little devil." Zhang Yuefen sighed and rubbed her lower back, which was still sore from the push.

As her grandson grows older, she finds it harder to control him, but thankfully her son is about to be released from prison early. Once he returns, everything will be alright.

Little did she know that the years he had spent in prison had worn Xie Yuan down to a state of constant fear and trepidation. Although he should be happy to be released, he was at a loss as to what to do after he got out.

He still has some assets abroad, but it's difficult for him to leave the country now, and even if he did, so many years have passed, would he still be able to get them?
