The air is heavy with moisture.
The weather changes suddenly. One second the sky is clear and the sun is shining, and the next second lightning strikes and heavy rain pours down.
There was a faint rumble of thunder.
The heavy rain blocked out some of the roaring and chewing sounds in the city, and washed away the dirt on the streets and walls.
Hua Jingye withdrew his gaze, took out a pen and paper, and based on the offline map, drew a route map on A4 paper that avoided big cities.
Wanjiezhu looked at him, then looked outside several times.
The mission object is coming soon.
After finishing the map, Hua Jingye put it away, glanced at the stupid beads that seemed to contain some unknown conspiracy, checked the doors and windows, threw a small thermal detection machine developed by the mechanical laboratory into the living room, turned off the lights and went into the guest room.
Late at night, a nimble figure climbed into the villa and climbed up to the second-floor balcony in a few seconds.
The heavy rain and thunder outside the window covered up all other sounds. The figure's fingers were clasping the door handle of the thickened glass door of the second-floor balcony.
After a while, there was a slight "click" sound and the door opened.
A hand hidden in the darkness closed the door, and short boots stepped silently on the ground.
The bracelet on Hua Jingye's hand in the room became hot. He stood up in an instant, pressed the door handle to open the door, and walked down along the wall of the stairs.
Lightning flashed across the sky, and the momentary light exposed each other's figures, followed by thunder.
An invisible sharp blade flew out from Hua Jingye's mind and flew towards the black shadow.
The black shadow sensed the fluctuation in the air, a cold light appeared in his hand, and he raised his hand to block the thing flying towards his shoulder.
A "buzz" sound of metal collision was heard, and the space blade that Hua Jingye controlled was blocked by the opponent's weapon.
He quickly grabbed the handrail of the stairs and slid down, sweeping his long and powerful legs forward, but was blocked by the opponent's arm the next moment.
In the darkness, the sound of fighting could be heard.
Based on the vague outline, Hua Jingye could tell that the other person was a woman.
Wanjiezhu looked at them fighting back and forth, evenly matched, and said nothing.
Following the location of the power switch in his memory, Hua Jingye defended and attacked at the same time, grabbing the opponent's wrist and pressing the switch with his other hand.
Senhan's dagger stabbed at her shoulder, and Hua Jingye pressed her other wrist to stop her attack.
Because they had just come out of the rain, Hua Jingye could feel during close combat that the other person's clothes were wet, and he shook off a few water droplets from time to time during his movements.
The lights came on in an instant and he met her cold eyes.
Jin Junwen saw his face clearly and slowed down the dagger's downward thrust. "Dr. Hua, nice to meet you."
Her voice was cold. Hua Jingye looked at her. Her eyebrows were sharp and her face was expressionless. She was wearing a slim black combat uniform and a neat high ponytail. Because of the fight, her hair fell on her eyelashes, making her look indescribably heroic.
Does she know him?
"Step back first?" He lowered his eyes slightly, avoiding her sight.
Jin Junwen put away the dagger, took two steps back, took out a card from the side pocket of her combat uniform and handed it to him.
"Captain of the Seventh Special Operations Team of the First Security Base, Jin Junwen."
"First Security Base, Dr. Hua, shall we go?"
Hua Jingye glanced at her, lowered his eyes, took the card, and then returned it, "Well, why is Captain Jin here?"
"I checked here last night and there was no one."
Hua Jingye understood and walked to the water dispenser to pour her a glass of water. "Would you like some?"
Jin Junwen met his eyes and took the water, "Thank you."
A drop of water dripped from her sleeve and bloomed on the floor.
