"Um."
Hua Jingye helped her lie down, covered her with a quilt, and patted her shoulder gently.
Jin Junwen looked at him with half-lowered eyes, feeling that he really was treating her like a child.
After she fell asleep, Hua Jingye went to take a bath by himself.
When I came out, Jin Ling and Gu Jun were outside, and there were still traces of raindrops on their military uniforms.
Both the father-in-law and the son-in-law had blank expressions, but one could sense a hint of tenderness towards the child.
It seems that Captain Jin's temperament remains the same.
"Commander Jin, Chief Gu."
"Yeah." Gu Jun nodded. "Thank you for taking care of Xiaowen. We're leaving now."
"Of course I will take you there." Hua Jingye walked them to the door. "It's raining heavily. Please drive slowly when you go back, both leaders."
"Um."
Hua Jingye moved the folding bed next to the hospital bed, turned off the light, closed his eyes and fell asleep.
Thunder roared all night and the windows shook from time to time.
When she woke up in the morning, Jin Junwen wanted to sit up quickly, but when she thought of her injury, she suppressed the urge to get up.
Hua Jingye sat up and saw that she didn't change her posture, so he moved closer and asked, "Captain Jin, why are you sleeping so straight?"
āIām used to it.ā
Hua Jingye helped her up and asked, "Shall I carry you to the toilet?"
"I can walk by myself." After a night, she felt fine.
He picked her up and said, "But I want to hug you. More contact will help deepen our relationship."
What to do if your girlfriend is too independent? Then she can only be clingy.
Jin Junwen followed him.
After a while, Meng Li came to bring them breakfast.
Jin Junwen glanced out the window and said, "Professor Meng, it's raining too hard. Don't come over after you go back. Just ask Jingye to buy it in the hospital cafeteria."
"I just wanted to come and see you, so I can feel at ease. Have breakfast."
"Does it still hurt?"
After breakfast, the grandparents were talking. Hua Jingye's cell phone vibrated, so he took it out to look at it.
It was a message for him to go to the laboratory.
Hua Jingye walked to Jin Junwen's bed and rubbed her head. "I'm going to the lab now. I'll come to see you at noon."
"It's raining heavily. Will you come again tonight?"
He lowered his voice beside her ear, "But I will miss you a lot when I can't see you. If I'm busy, I won't come. If I'm not busy, I'll come and have lunch with you."
Jin Junwen glanced at him sideways, "Yeah."
"Grandma, I'm going out." He greeted Meng Li.
"Go ahead."
Hua Jingye went downstairs and found a car waiting for him.
After a while, the car drove into the rainstorm.
Arriving at the laboratory, Hua Jingye put on protective clothing and followed the instructions to enter the inspection room.
When I entered the door, four people wearing protective clothing stood together and introduced themselves.
A soldier, also wearing protective clothing, opened a door, and the growls of zombies were heard.
Hua Jingye turned around and saw three zombies tied to the experimental bed.
"These are level one to level three zombies. We have made sure they won't hurt you guys."
Hua Jingye took the data on the lab table and looked at it. "Are there any cases in the base where someone was bitten by a zombie but did not turn into a zombie?"
"No."
"The day before yesterday, among the survivors brought back by Captain Jin, there was a girl named Wei Leyan. She was scratched by a zombie, but she didn't turn into a zombie. She must have developed antibodies."
"Go ask the medical staff to collect two tubes of blood for research."
As for compensation and rewards, the relevant personnel will take care of it.
"Okay, Dr. Hua."
