Lorsis stroked the corner of her eye with his finger, "It must have hurt a lot, right?"
"It hurts so much that I fainted, and then woke up from the pain." She curled up into a ball at the time. Even after drinking the potion given by the sea witch, she still felt desperate in pain. She was hoarse and couldn't make any sound.
He kissed her eyelids lovingly, "I can't interfere with your past, but I can participate in your future."
Ahefuya hugged his waist and lay in his arms, "Lorsis, don't mind my past. Suffering itself is meaningless, but it taught me not to bow my head and not to surrender."
"That's not completely hopeless, so I can tell you now that difficulties can be overcome."
Lorsis held her in silence.
She grabbed his clothes and said, "Didn't you notice? The clothes on you are already dry."
Lorsis looked down and saw that it was indeed done. "Is this the effect of the inner elixir?"
"Well, mermaids are natural wonders, but they can't walk onto land."
With talent comes limitation.
Except for her, no other mermaid can change her legs freely. The legs transformed by magic potion will have unbearable side effects, so mermaids cannot walk on land.
"So is Akhefya a miracle among miracles?"
"There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with what you said." A miracle that was ignored by the mermaid clan.
Lorsis tucked her back into bed and coaxed her to sleep, "Aren't you sleepy? Go back to sleep."
"Tell me a story."
"What do you want to hear?"
"Listen to your story. I've told you so many stories about me. What about yours?"
"My title is hereditary. The kingdom was in turmoil for the past ten years, with foreign invasions and constant wars. My father died on the battlefield when I was fourteen, leaving me and my mother behind."
"My mother died of illness not long after my father's death. I inherited the title and led soldiers to the battlefield, expelling foreign enemies and balancing domestic affairs."
"It has been twelve years since my father left. I have spent eight of those years on the battlefield. In the last four years, the kingdom was barely stable. There were also foreign enemies trying to harass the border from time to time, and I would go to war from time to time."
"After killing so many people, I got a reputation as a vicious and murderous person."
"Ajiamu is a new territory under my rule. Citizens don't know me yet, so my enemies spread rumors in an attempt to scare them and turn them against me. But now these rumors are fading away, and I'm not as busy as before."
"My story can be summed up as constant fighting. There's nothing new."
She tilted her head, "Then you must have been injured a lot, right?"
It sounds so easy to say, but it’s inevitable that you won’t get hurt when you do dangerous things.
"Well, after so many years of fighting, injuries are inevitable."
Wanjiezhu ate every day without any psychological burden because he had provided him a lot of help during his difficult teenage years.
"Then you shouldn't return my inner elixir now."
Lorsis leaned over and kissed her forehead, "No, I love you so much, Ahefuya."
The mermaid who was sleepy at first, now opened up and asked him all sorts of questions. Before she was too sleepy to open her eyes, she warned him, "Don't let anyone in except you."
Her tail hasn't turned into legs yet.
"Okay." After she fell asleep, Lorsis kissed her eyelids again, "The domineering Ahefuya, you really mean what you say."
He inexplicably liked her domineering nature.
