The seventh prince shed more tears, but he didn't cry very loudly.
"Go to sleep and don't disturb the Empress Dowager." Yan Chengye wiped his tears.
The Seventh Prince held back his tears.
The nanny who was watching them sighed.
After dinner, Yan Chengfeng took An An back to Fengyi Palace and saw Zhu Fuli lying on a chair reading a book.
"Mother."
"Mom~" An An threw himself into her arms, "Mom smells so good~"
Zhu Fuli pointed to the chair next to him and said to Yan Chengfeng, "Sit down. There are cakes you like on the table."
"Thank you, mother."
She kissed An An's cheek, "An An smells so good too."
"My mother and I both smell good." An An hugged her neck, kissed her cheek, and rubbed her neck.
Yan Tinglan strode in from outside the hall, "I'm back."
"Daddy~" An An turned her head from Zhu Fuli's arms and looked at him.
"Father."
"Yeah." Yan Tinglan sat next to Zhu Fuli and poked An An's face.
An An glared at him and grabbed his fingers, "Daddy, you are bad~"
Yan Tinglan had a smile on his face. Ali must have been very cute when she was a child.
"Well, Daddy is bad, Mommy is good."
An An released his fingers, hugged Zhu Fuli's face and kissed her.
Zhu Fuli kissed her neck, causing her to laugh out loud.
"Father, today the Seventh Prince asked An An why you are nice to An An but not to them." Yan Chengfeng said.
Yan Tinglan turned his eyes away from the mother and daughter, "People's hearts are biased, not to mention that they have nothing to do with me."
An An asked curiously, "Why is it okay?"
"Because, Daddy only has An An as his baby." Yan Tinglan replied to her, imitating her tone.
"Ah? Isn't brother Daddy's baby too?"
"Well, no, your brother should call me uncle. I am his father's younger brother."
An An thought about it, then nodded, "Should other brothers and sisters also call you uncle?"
"Yes, An An, you must keep it a secret."
"Okay~"
Yan Tinglan kissed her forehead and said, "Good girl."
He was not afraid that An An would leak the secret. An An was very smart and her mouth was even tighter than Yan Chengfeng's.
Yan Tinglan looked at Yan Chengfeng and said, "Go wash up and go to bed. I will check your homework tomorrow."
Yan Chengfeng's face fell all of a sudden. Although he could do it, it didn't mean he liked doing homework, let alone checking it.
Zhu Fuli picked up An An and said, "Baby, let's go take a bath, okay?"
"Well, I want to smell as good as my mother~"
"Okay~"
After washing up, Zhu Fuli put An An on the bed and kissed her face, "Are you sleepy, An An?"
"Not sleepy."
Zhu Fuli held her in his arms and said, "Then read with mother."
"Okay~"
Yan Tinglan got on the bed, put his arms around Zhu Fuli's waist and rested his chin on her shoulder.
Zhu Fuli put the book in his hand and leaned into his arms, "You turn the page."
Yan Tinglan held her in his arms and adjusted her into a comfortable position, then tirelessly turned the pages of a book for her.
Later, An An didn't sleep, but Zhu Fuli fell asleep.
An An glanced sideways and said in a low voice, "Daddy, Mommy is asleep."
"Yeah." Yan Tinglan lifted her out of Zhu Fuli's arms, hugged Zhu Fuli and lay down, covering her with a quilt.
"Mother is tired."
"Why? An An isn't even tired."
"An An will know when she grows up. Do you want to go to the toilet? I'll ask someone to take you there." He pinched the little girl's face.
"No." An An pushed his hand away, "Daddy, don't pinch my face."
"Then why can mother pinch it?"
"My mother and I are best friends, so of course my mother can do it."
"Okay, go to sleep An An and don't disturb mother." Yan Tinglan smiled silently.
