Looking at the teachers with hopeful eyes, Xu Keke felt a pang of regret; she had revealed her abilities too early.
Xu Keke opened her mouth, wanting to tell them that she had never expected anyone to agree to help her when she asked for help. She knew that others had no obligation to help her; everyone had their own circumstances and difficulties. Similarly, she didn't like being pressured into doing things for her.

Dou Yi's words were delivered rather bluntly; she was nothing like the kind of warm and welcoming principal like Qi's mother. From her tone, one would never guess that the so-called school research was actually decided solely by her.
Xu Keke came out of the office and saw Teacher Liu still standing at the door. She gestured for Xu Keke to be quiet.
Xu Keke smiled at her. Xu Keke knew that she must have called Dou Yi to help her out of the predicament, but she was afraid that the other teachers would find out that she had told on her. So she was hiding outside to avoid the limelight.
