Chapter 155 The Last 2

In the top office of the administrative bureau, the exasperated superior yelled at his subordinates, "Hurry up and deal with it! The administrative bureau only agreed to her resignation; her benefits remain unchanged. Are you all idiots? Who agreed to the removal of her staff and doctors?"

The staff member opened his mouth, but didn't dare to speak. It had been reported that day that the Xu family had asked the major general's doctor and staff to leave. It was the chief administrator who said, "Since he's not going to wake up anyway, let him go."

Shortly after, all residents of the space station received a video message from the administration office. The message essentially stated that they had never reduced the Major General's personal benefits. As for why this had occurred, they would investigate and punish those responsible for negligence.

The people on the space station mostly smiled dismissively; it was always all talk and no action, and it would always fizzle out in the end. They had long since stopped believing the administration's words.

The people inside had just finished watching the video message when Xu's butler led a group of people in.

Leading the procession was Xu Keke's private doctor, Wei Chi, and his young and beautiful nurse, followed by Xu Keke's personal assistant, Zhou Heng.

"We rushed over as soon as we saw you were awake, but we didn't expect it to escalate to the point where the administrative office issued a notice. You should have stayed unconscious, because you caused me to receive administrative penalties. They said I neglected my duties as a doctor and was negligent in treating patients. They confiscated all of my income for three months."

Wei Chi started complaining as soon as he entered the room, completely ignoring the fact that someone was watching the live stream through the surveillance system. The nurse tried to tug at his sleeve, but he rudely slapped it away.

"What, can't we even speak the truth? We have to tell them lies. These people are just bored, they have nothing better to do than do manual labor. What's there to see? They treat other people's lives like a show."

Despite Wei Chi's constant cursing, the people on Tianyan (the online community) actually love his style. They get incredibly excited when he yells at them. It's just a shame that Wei Chi never opens an account or reads these comments, leaving them with no way to confess their feelings to him.

Xu Keke wouldn't tolerate his behavior. "The fees I paid weren't for one or two years, or even ten or eight years; they were for fifty years' worth of salary. You just left me here and ignored me. And you blame the administrative office for the punishment? They didn't punish you enough. Three months' income is far too little. I think the fairest thing to do is to return the fees I paid for the days I was unconscious."

Wei Chi shooed everyone else away from the bedside, took his tools from the nurse, and said with a fawning smile, "No, no, just follow the administrative office's punishment, that's fine enough. Besides, you can't blame me. Your family forcibly took you away. I chased them all the way here and even fought with them. You can ask Zhou Heng if you don't believe me; they said I was trespassing. They even said if I dared to go any further, they would sue me, so I had no choice..."

Wei Chi stopped his examination, frowned at her, and looked at her with an unusually serious expression. "You can't move your legs right now!"

He turned and glared angrily at the others in the room. "What happened? The major general has a brain injury. I checked her when you took her away. All her functions were normal. She would be fine once she woke up. Why can't she move her legs now?"

No one spoke, and the room fell silent. After a long while, Huang Pinjia took a step forward. "We don't know about that. Since Coco moved back, we haven't given her anything except nutrient solution. If you don't believe me, you can check the security camera footage outside anytime. No one has come here these days, and she hasn't left either."

Xu Keke glanced at Huang Pinjia. His explanation was full of holes. It was a wonder that he still thought he was so smart.

I've always known that he's a bit arrogant, likes to play tricks, and has some ambition.

Yet she still indulged him, letting him play tricks on her. It wasn't just because he was handsome and had a nice voice. Nor was it simply because being with him made her feel good.

Okay, it's difficult, but honestly, I have to admit that I've fallen in love with a shallow and despicable man. It's not that I have bad taste, it's that I'm not smart enough.

She no longer needs to laugh at others, because she herself is also a love-struck fool, and even almost lost her life for so-called love.

Xu Keke sighed softly, "I was in a coma for about three months, maybe less. You two are getting married, your relationship is progressing quite quickly."

A crack finally appeared on Huang Pinjia's face. His composure crumbled; he regretted stepping forward. In truth, Xu's parents would have been the best candidates to answer the question. His own words seemed like a blatant attempt to cover something up.

“Cousin, it’s not what you think. I’m with your husband mainly so I can take better care of you. If they hadn’t said you might never wake up, we wouldn’t have gotten married.”

Xu Keke was admiring her own foolishness when Zhang Man interrupted her, which somewhat affected her mood. She shifted her gaze from Huang Pinjia's face and looked at Zhang Man again. Then she looked at the Xu couple once more.

Xu Keke laughed, and the hearts of those in front of her trembled. The last time the Major General laughed like that, he blew up the storage compartment of the adjacent space station; the last time the Great General laughed like that, she stripped the captured defector naked and threw him into space.

"Zhou Heng, donate all the proceeds from this live stream. Don't keep a single penny."

Zhou Heng, who had been waiting quietly to the side, quickly took out his phone to record these words.

“Coco, there are some things about the family that you don’t know. We need to…” Xu’s mother looked at her hesitantly. She should have turned off the live stream earlier; how could she say certain things? She couldn’t very well say that the family was now penniless; what would people think of her then?
