Seeing that Du Bingtian readily agreed to bring out the furniture for use, Xu Keke leaned towards the former.
Du Bingtian took out a red-covered diary from the carved dressing table drawer and handed it to Xu Keke. "This is what your mother wrote before she passed away. You can take a look."
The fact that it was given to her so easily proves that there's nothing useful inside. Xu Keke took it indifferently and continued to look around.
The paintings on the wall were all completely covered up; apart from the frames that indicated they were oil paintings, almost nothing else was visible. This also speaks to their value.
Because so many things were just casually placed around. Only this one was wrapped up.
The original owner's mother was deeply influenced by Western culture. The furniture, wallpaper, and decorations in the room were mostly old-fashioned Western style.
Xu Keke stood in front of a full-length mirror, a very beautiful mirror with a high-quality feel, but it was a bit bulky. It looked quite vintage.
Seeing that she had been looking at it for so long, Du Bingtian assumed she liked it and was about to suggest that someone move it over to her.
Du Shan then came over, took Du Bingtian's arm, and said in a coquettish tone, "Dad, I want this mirror. Can you give it to me?"
“This…” Du Bingtian hesitated for a moment, looking at Xu Keke as if asking for her opinion.
When Du Shan saw Xu Keke looking at her, she glared back defiantly. She was doing it on purpose; she just didn't want this older sister to get her way.
Xu Keke laughed, "Are you sure? You want this mirror."
"Of course!" Du Shan stubbornly raised her little face.
She looks like Lin Meijuan, the most like one of the children. Her smile is cheerful and endearing. However, when she becomes domineering and arrogant, her physical flaws become apparent, making her appear ordinary and unremarkable.
Xu Keke shrugged. "As long as you're not scared to have such an old mirror in the room."
"Sigh... what are you afraid of?"
"How would I know? Who knows what might crawl out of there in the middle of the night?"
Du Shan got anxious. "You're talking nonsense. You just don't want me to take it. I'm not falling for your tricks. I want this mirror today."
