Li Bo was still engrossed in eating his meal, unaware of what was happening beside him.
Cheng Yi did see it. He glanced to the side and saw that not only his classmates, but also many teachers were paying attention to them.
Cheng Yi cleared his throat. "Jiang Xiaofei, are you alright? Are you feeling unwell?"
Xu Keke almost choked when she got a piece of meat stuck in her mouth. That question was so obviously rhetorical.
Hearing Cheng Yi's words, Li Bo turned to look at Jiang Xiaofei with concern. Jiang Xiaofei, however, had already stood up in a panic, stammering, "I..."
Jiang Xiaofei sobbed, "I'm not feeling well, I'll go back to the classroom first."
After saying this, Jiang Xiaofei picked up her lunchbox and ran out quickly.
"Cheng Yi, what did you do to upset Xiao Fei again? Don't always take advantage of her liking you to bully her."
After saying this, Li Bo glared at Cheng Yi and stuffed another mouthful of rice into his mouth.
"Aren't you going to chase after him?" Judging from Li Bo's previous behavior, Xu Keke thought he should just drop his food and follow him.
"Me? No need, as long as he doesn't follow, it'll be fine." Li Bo casually gestured with his chin towards Cheng Yi across from him.
Xu Keke was stunned for a long time, completely baffled by Li Bo's bizarre logic. So, was he pursuing Jiang Xiaofei or Cheng Yi?
Xu Keke was so focused on Li Bo that she didn't notice the strange expression on Cheng Yi's face.
There were no exams in the afternoon, and the first period was self-study. After finishing her meal, Xu Keke asked her teacher for leave and left the school. She took her household registration booklet to the police station.
She seemed like just an ordinary high school student, and the police wouldn't have bothered to check her. But she sounded so pitiful, saying she'd never seen her mother since she was little and just wanted to know what her mother looked like.
Then she noticed the clothes she was wearing. The female police officer in the household registration department felt a pang of sympathy. She found her file and checked it for her.
When the original owner's mother, Chen Xiufen, transferred her household registration, it was moved to another province. It was returned to her place of origin.
Xu Keke took out a piece of paper and wrote it down. Fearing she might act impulsively, the policewoman kindly reminded her...
"Don't rush off like that. Usually, people move back to their original place of residence. But they might not actually go back. Even if you go looking for them, you'll probably just find nothing. You should focus on your studies first and wait a few years before making any moves."
After thanking the police officers, Xu Keke hurriedly left the police station.
She doesn't have a single penny to her name right now, let alone go to another province, she's struggling to make ends meet even in this city.
Lost in thought, Xu Keke returned to school.
She still planned to ask Li Bo for money, since he was the one who accidentally pushed the original owner off the road. She'd let him help her fulfill the original owner's wish.
