Chapter 9: Twenty Years After Being Kidnapped
As soon as breakfast was served on the table, Feng Wu just glanced at the steaming yellow millet porridge on the table, his eyes fixed, and he kicked Yu Chunlai, who was sitting next to him with a evasive look, off the stool with a heavy kick.
Zhaodi, who was about to pick up the bowl of porridge, looked at the man lying on the ground and cursing in confusion.
Yu Chunlai's anger was immediately ignited. "What are you doing, bitch? I won't serve you anymore..."
Feng Wu picked up the bowl of millet porridge in front of her and said calmly, "Drink it!"
"I, I don't want to drink it. I have it in my own bowl. I won't drink yours. I won't drink it..." Yu Chunlai was so scared that he broke out in cold sweat. He just added some rat poison to the bowl of millet porridge.
Rat poison has a strong smell, so he didn't dare add too much. He thought that adding a little bit every day would poison the woman to death sooner or later.
Feng Wu sneered, and a bowl of boiling hot millet porridge was placed firmly on Yu Chunlai's head.
"Ah ah..." Yu Chunlai had to take care of his inconvenient left foot and desperately used his hands to dig out the boiling hot rice porridge on his head.
The rice porridge flowed down his cheeks into his mouth. Yu Chunlai ignored the pain in his head and desperately stuck his fingers into his throat to induce vomiting, for fear that he would accidentally drink some.
Yu Chunlai, who was tortured to death by himself, fell to the ground and cried with his head in his hands. If you didn't know what this man had done behind his back, you would really think he was a poor man who suffered from the sufferings of the world.
After appreciating the beautiful sight of the man lying on the ground like mud at her feet, Feng Wu sat down in the main seat, picked up the clean dishes and chopsticks beside her, and served herself a bowl of millet porridge.
He tapped the dazed little girl with his chopsticks and said, "Eat it while it's hot, and remember to wash the dishes later." Children should be taught from an early age and sharing some housework appropriately will help them grow up healthily.
Zhaodi just drank her porridge silently, and nodded obediently when she heard the words, without any extra emotion.
After breakfast, Feng Wu looked up at the sky and yawned gracefully. After breakfast, it was a good time to have a good nap.
Just as I was about to go into the house, someone knocked on the door.
"Spring is coming, spring is coming! Are you home?"
Zhaodi had just finished washing the dishes, untied her apron and walked out of the kitchen. When she saw the visitor, although she had no feelings for him, she still politely called out, "Grandpa Village Chief, do you want to talk to my dad? He just finished his meal and complained of foot pain. He's already gone to bed after dinner."
Zhaodi glanced at the closed door to the woodshed and started to lie. Although lying was bad, to protect her mother, telling a few harmless lies was no big deal.
She doesn't feel guilty at all.
"Yeah, that's right. I heard your dad was seriously injured this time, so don't ask him for help. Let him recover well."
Zhaodi saw the village chief's sorrowful expression and realized that something serious might have happened in the village. She asked cautiously, "Master, has something serious happened in the village? You don't look well."
The village chief sighed, looking at the graceful young lady before him, and felt that he had to inform her about this matter. "Hey, it was the two brothers of the Liu family who stayed up late at night to go fishing with an electric shock, and ended up both being electrocuted to death by the river. Okay, remember to tell your father about this!"
"Oh, I know. I'll tell him when he wakes up." When Zhaodi heard that the two brothers were dead, she was a little scared at first, but for some reason, when she thought of her mother, she was no longer afraid of any monsters or ghosts.
The worry and fear I had for the marriage exchange finally came to nothing.
The person is already dead, why bother kissing him?
Three people died in Tianbeigou within less than a month. Although they were all accidents, the villagers were all in a panic. In addition, the villagers had done too many things that damaged their morals, so rumors of ghosts spread like wildfire in the small village.
Yu Chunlai was so frightened by the death of the two Liu brothers that he fell ill in the woodshed. Every day, Zhaodi would feed the sick and confused Yu Chunlai some rice soup to maintain basic nutrition for the body.
As for sending her to the hospital, her mother said that the person would not die and there was no need to waste money.
Without the two huge burdens at home, the little girl became much more lively. Whenever she had free time, she would go out to play with her fellow villagers, or go to the back mountain to pick some wild fruits to satisfy her taste.
The little girl couldn't stand her old mother staying at home without moving, so she acted coquettishly and tried to please her and dragged her out of the house.
"Well, even though the people in this village are not that great, the scenery is really nice. It's autumn now. In a few months, the maple forest on the top of the mountain will all turn red. It's so beautiful..." The little girl chattered too lively.
Feng Wu had seen all kinds of scenery, and she didn't think there was anything worth being curious about in these commonplace things. Instead, the smart little girl in front of her was a hundred times more interesting than those scenery.
Zhaodi walked on the bumpy dirt road with a bright smile on her face, occasionally looking back to see if Fengwu was following her. Seeing that Fengwu had a cold face but a brisk pace, she smiled brightly at Fengwu, which sometimes moved the shallow dimples on her cheeks.
The system quickly captured this beautiful scene and said, "Hey, Miss Zhaodi is so beautiful. Host, you must raise her well."
"In your opinion, this little girl has always been an unhealed pain in the original body's heart. From the memories completed in the small world, the original body must have seen that her death was too tragic."
"Hmph! Host, you have already avenged Miss Zhaodi in the previous life. With you, host, in this life, Miss Zhaodi will definitely live a happy life." The pink ball puffed out her chest as a matter of course.
Anyone chosen by the host will either go to hell or heaven.
Feng Wu sneered, "You are quite obedient."
